Been super busy with school and work, here's a super quick sketch of Taheht in my style and the original!

*Before you ask, yes, there is a work in progress on Alcanea so have no fear! (I'm just working on some character redesigns)*

However, I wanted to give some details about Taheht:

Taheht is a 'shape-shifter' (only capable of turning into a hat though) and has been in Hell almost as long as Lucifer. Taheht created most of Hells spells and potion-brewing techniques; even going so far as to write books that Overlords like Velvet would later use. It and Lucifer used to be very close, almost like siblings, until Satan ordered Lucifer to kill Taheht or face banishment himself. Taheht had been brewing a special potion that would turn any inanimate or partially-inanimate object into full humanoids and had created a spell in which said humanoids would obey it's every command. Therefore, Satan feared that Taheht would rise an army against Lucifer and overthrow him.

When Lucifer revealed to Taheht what he had to do, Taheht felt betrayed, it claimed that it wouldn't even think about taking the crown and the magic had only been to further it's research. However, the damaged had already been done and Taheht was angry. It cursed Lucifer and told him that it would take his first born child. After that, Taheht vanished. No one, not even the Exterminators or Satan himself, could find it.

It wasn't discovered until 1889, when a certain egotistical, serpent inventor finds himself in a fancy hat store and becomes drawn to a certain gray, one-eyed hat.

Even though we are under a quarantine in my state, I am still considered an 'essential' so I've been working a lot more and have been unable to finish art. However, I am working on a few pieces and have a bunch of ideas going through my brain, so be prepared!

And also stay safe! I know at my job they've implemented some safety precautions, but there is always a chance!

And to anyone in the Hazbin community who is fighting COVID-19 on the front-line: Thank you. Keep up the good work and stay safe. <3

Alastor and Sir Pentious have noticed Alcanea and Taheht getting rather 'friendly' with each other.

Also shout out to @ckret2 for being the first (that I saw) to realize Taheht's name is just 'The Hat' backwards.

(I'll have time on Friday to start make some more digital art, so please bare the shitty pen just a little bit longer!)

Been having trouble falling asleep so I thought I would pass the time with productivity.

Demon versions of Alastor's cane and Sir Pentious's hat! I've always had a slight concept for what Sir Pentious's hat would look like as a demon (and I fucking love the idea that his hat is secretly the main villian) so I tried to make it look as evil as possible.

I went ahead and named them just because they don't have actual names as far as canon goes. Alcanea has a feminine look, but they are non-binary (I think Alastor's cane is supposed to be a male since it has a male voice when it talks, but I wanted to put my own spin on it) and Taheht is a male, however prefers 'it' pronouns (it scowls when you call it 'him').

These are my two main Hazbin Hotel OC's, Seymour Dutch and Amy Fletch! They both work as news anchors during the night at 666 News.

Seymour Dutch: Arachnid Demon

Born: August 1934

Died: December 1972

Cause of Death: Hit and Run

He used to work as a news reporter in Chicago when he was hit by a car and killed on impact, the driver managed to get away, but was apprehended later. When Seymour arrived in Hell, he was desperate to make money, so he ended up working with Valentino in the adult film industry for the first couple years until Vox offered him a job as a co-host to Tom Trench, later getting to work solo on the nightly news. He still works for Valentino as a part-time escort, but refuses to do films as Seymour hates getting compared to Angel Dust.

Amy Fletch: Octopus Demon

Born: April 1971

Died: October 1998

Cause: Murdered by Serial Killer

Amy's death was sudden and tragic as she was brutally murdered outside Town Square. She was still fairly young and had dreams of being a journalist. Upon arriving in Hell, she marched straight to the 666 News Station and practically demanded for a job. Since Katie Killjoy arrived a few years before her and Seymour's previous co-host was killed in the last Extermination, Amy was immediate hired on.
