a few newsies modern au sleeping hcs bc I’m gay and sleepy

-katherine usually sleeps in a NYU sweatshirt and pajama shorts with her hair in a messy bun; she ditched all the fancy pajamas her mother would buy

-jack is a big fan of sleeping naked but he usually just wears boxer shorts to keep things PG, particularly when he was still living with the other newsies

-davey absolutely cannot go to sleep without warm milk or tea. he just can’t.

-he would also read les a bedtime story until les got “too old” (les secretly misses them)

-some of the newsies like race, mush, and romeo enjoyed sleeping basically in a pile like hamsters

-specs is claustrophobic though, so he absolutely can’t because he hates feeling squished and trapped

-katherine and jack trade off who’s the big spoon and who’s the little spoon

-spot sleeps like a kitten curled up in a ball

-it’s adorable but he’ll beat up anyone who mentions it

-because the newsies would live in a cold NYC apartment, they often fall asleep huddled together

-crutchie snores but it’s not very loud so the newsies just think it’s cute

-when the newsies were younger, jack would help everyone get to sleep by telling these grand stories about Santa Fe

The girl with the red balloon

I was told by many people to share my story with you. Today I walked around Walt Disney World with a red balloon and hugged 513 different cast members. I did this because I felt that the cast members do not receive nearly enough appreciation or thanks as they deserve for keeping the parks clean and keeping smiles on thousands of guests faces every day. People were taking pictures of me and saying that I was weird and wasting people’s time. However, I continued to hug casts members because they were telling me how I made their day and made them smile. All I asked for in return for the hug was for them to give someone else a hug and spread their love and happiness. Cast members from all over the park came to see me after hearing about the girl with the red balloon giving out hugs. They reminded me how 1 small act of kindness can change someone's whole life.
