jumblr folks should collectively make a basic jewish theology quiz that ppl outside the jewish community should have to pass before arguing with us about jewish theology. like what the fuck are these ppl doing arguing with me about the torah when they don't know about the existence of the oral torah.
It's been done, have a link.

I just found out the most hilariously amazing thing.
Item: wine aged in an oak barrel pulsing with the Nier Automata soundtrack
I hope this catches on and wine snobs have to start arguing over what kind of music the wine tastes like. “Here’s an amusing little Pinot Noir infused with Sousa marches” “this rosé was aged with only the finest Slavic hardstyle to which they added some playful notes by including some Abba remixes”
I see a lot of folks confused about step one in the tags and to explain: what they're doing is just a color wash. Typically it's done with a color opposite on the color wheel to the primary color in a piece (though can be other tones for various reasons). It helps to make the final colors pop a lot more than they would if painted directly on a white canvas as the wash will show up in tiny spaces between the paint/in thinner areas and create contrast.

Hey tumblr looks like we need help
We are a household of 3 disabled queer adults and 3 cats and we are in a bit of a financial pickle atm
A couple months ago, we all caught COVID and had to stay home from work for a couple weeks and that severely impacted our finances. Now we also have had to pay off some debts and one of us had to have emergency dental surgery and was out of work for over a week to recover. We have burned through all of our savings and have very little money left and our food stamps expired a month ago. We’ve reapplied for food stamps and are waiting to get approved, but in the meantime we need to buy groceries and we have very little money to do that. Plus we need to be able to save up for paying rent and utilities.
for this month’s groceries and gas, we’ll need:
$500
And we would also appreciate it if y’all could help us raise money for this month’s rent and utilities, which would be about:
$1,700
If y’all could throw some money our way to help us get through this rough patch, it would be greatly appreciated! Even a little goes a long way towards helping us, and if a lot of people are able to give a little that will help a lot!
If you want to give, you can give at all of the places listed below:
Paypal
Venmo: @SarahPillbug
Cashapp: $ScoutForester
Zelle: [email protected] or [email protected]

I hope my wife and their femme have a wonderful one year anniversary!
Yeah sorry I crossed your boyfriend with jellyfish dna so he's fluorescent now. Mhm yeah I'm studying his cells by shooting him with a laser. You can still read about him in my dissertation in 4-5 years though

actually no one is allowed to make fun of transmasc names anymore. i dont care if it's a 13 year old trans boy named after his favorite cartoon or whatever you're not allowed to make fun of trans guys' names
I'm begging, on my knees, crying sobbing throwing up, WHERE did you get that thylacine skull cuz my bone clones one looks so fake by comparison 😭😭😭
It's a 3D print that I painted/modified to look like some of the skulls in museum collections! Here's the before and after :>
I don't think I ever talked about the replica in detail but it was sanded, hot wired, and sealed with a combination of matte and gloss sealant to match how light reflects off of bones that color. It was a filiment print so it took a ton of sanding ;-;! All the sutures were carved with a hotwire and filled in or drawn with pencil to match the natural cracks/fusions. The paint was hand done with acrylics. They were wiped and sanded and stained to match the colors/textures of the ones I saw in museums. I used darker colors in the nasals and orbits to create the illusion of depth even in low light. And I used some uncleaned coyote skulls as references to match the colors/textures as accurately as I could!
Holy SHIT.
