I dunno, stop apologizing for your art. This includes not posting enough, too much, changing style, inconsistent style, repetition, subject. Its your art its your expression. Have fun.
So I do occasionally still draw ...
and forget which blog is which ...
Hey! All of your drawings do not need to be completely unique from one another. Do you know how many versions and replicas of his Sunflowers Van Gogh actually did? Just draw that naked guy ten times. Reuse that colour palette. Do that pose again. Follow your heart for real, no one can care as much as you do.
RARE BACKGROUND INCLUSION!!!
my secret to art happiness is it's not about how many notes what you draw is likely to get. t's about how many times you're going to go back to it, to your own art, and think "this FUCKS actually and caters to me entirely, specifically, fully. i love this artist (me) (me who i drew this) (myself)"
yall have to stop insulting your own art in the caption and preemptively pointing out mistakes 90% of people probably won't notice. allow things to not be perfect. allow yourself some grace
I urge my fellow artists to also try to go a step further from this, even, and point out what you like in your own art. COMPLIMENT YOURSELF. What parts of it you are proud of. What about it made you happy. What parts of it you enjoyed working on. It may help you get into a much healthier mindset in the long run and your artistic journey will be better for it.

I've drawn like once this year, so have some rocks instead ... I like rocks
if you make an OC that you are genuinely insane over, like you are obsessed with this freak and can't stop thinking about them, then it will rub off on other people. the virus spreads
but (and this is the most important part) you HAVE to be insane about them. you can't just make an OC and be normal about them, they have to consume your thoughts
everyone reblogging this and saying in the tags that they don't talk about their OCs online much: just do it. have fun. you will make friends
I was in a painterly mood the other day too ... but not in the mood for details
Speed paint/study thing to try and get back into painterly stuff ...
me, incorrect: everyone is probably sick of me drawing this character by now...
my inner voice, wise: ah, but this cannot be... because I am part of "everyone"... and until I am sick of drawing them... it will not be everyone
me, opening a new blank canvas: ur so right
Reblog if you never once have been even remotely bothered by seeing someone draw the same character over and over again
