So she decided to watch how mechanical things were built.

Her appearance was strikingly similar to Melanieās.

ZoĆ« rollerbladed up and down the street her house was on, ignoring her siblings playing sports. She wasnāt a fan of things like soccer and basketball but would gladly compete when it came to board or video games. Pink chalk dust coated her hands as she drew lines across the ground, following the movement of the other kids, the ball, neighbors, cars. Anything that left a flow only she could see.
The chalk dipped into each groove, flaking off as she pressed down on the ground. Concentration was key her mom said, but it didnāt last long. A voice startled her, and the kinetic flow connected to the ball jerked. It rolled away, and her siblings stared in annoyance.
She gave them all sheepish smile, watching as they ran off to chase after the ball, fighting over who would catch it first. Zoƫ sighed, able to think again. She turned in the direction of the voice, glaring at the bushes and tall grass.
āWhat are ya doinā? Coulda caused a bigger accident, ān den you go ān hide. Wasnāt born yesterday.ā She put her hands on her hips, the sass and annoyance clear in her voice.
"Sorry," the kid replies, although they don't move from their hiding place in the bushes. "Didn't mean to. Just wanted to know time."
āWant tā know what? Why donācha you come outta de bushes. Makes ya look suspicious.ā ZoĆ« sighed,
"No!" They whisper, curling even smaller. "I am hiding. Stop talking to bushes. Looks susch- suc.. How'd yah say it?"
āSus-pish-us. Now, why you hidinā? Did ya do sometāinā wrong? You in trouble?ā She tilted her head.
"Sus-bish-ust." They repeat. "I'm in trouble 'cause I don't wanna go home. So I'm hiding."
āWell, whoās houndinā ya? I can ward dem off. āM great it.ā She looked around to see if there was anyone that stuck out like a sore thumb.
"My Baba," they answer, trying to curl even smaller. " 'e doesn't know I left yet. "
āWell, aināt nobody here now. You can come out now, I swear by it.ā She grabbed their hand, pulling on them.
They scramble to their feet, looking around quickly. "We have probably missed our flight now. I am in so much trouble."
āBut why did you run? I donāt understand.ā ZoĆ« skated around in a circle.
