In 2016, Mozambique's Zinave National Park was known as "the silent park", after a long period of civil war led to the loss of nearly all the country's large wildlife.

Relocating megafauna is a huge undertaking, but ten years later Zinave is home to 39 white rhinos and 22 critically endangered black rhinos. Animals from 16 other species have also been reintroduced to Mozambique during this time, including bush elephants, giraffes, hyenas, leopards, and zebra.
