Potemkin, Bedman, Delilah, and The Screws.
I saw a really cool idea on this reddit thread and figured I would share it here and expand upon it slightly.
Someone on reddit pointed out that both Delilah and Potemkin have these strange screws on their bodies.
The original poster jokingly asked if she was trying to cosplay as him, or even is possibly related to him somehow.
Another commenter had a different, and much more interesting theory.
Being that Potemkin canonically has a condition that makes his muscles continue to grow, and the potential danger of this is, he wears a limiter.
If you look at his sprites through the ages, it is clear that the screws in his current design are at least in some way related to the original bomb collar/limiter device in his prior designs.
I would be willing to bet that the screws are the parts that actually do the limiting, being that the original bulky collar has practically disappeared in his current design. This is only further support by the next parts of this theory.
Now focusing on Delilah and Bedman. The first thing worthy of note is how much larger Bedman's screws are than Delilah's.
If we follow the idea that these screws serve as ability inhibitors, it makes sense that his are bigger than Delilah's, due to his powers being much more extreme, and even then, the screws are not enough, requiring him to remain asleep to avoid frying his brain.
The different in color and proportion of these screws could possibly indicate their difference in functions, strength, etc.
Potemkin's have orange coloration, have a wider horizontal potion, and are, in proportion to his body size, much smaller.
Delilah's are smaller, the "plus" shape is red and has much more equal proportions, and are rather "medium sized" when compared to her body size.
Bedman's screws are huge compared to his body size, magenta, and the plusses are still equal proportioned.
The conclusion I draw from this is that these "screws" are the most common form that most power limiters, regardless of type of power, tend to take.
Furthermore, such design parallels indicating things about characters has been done before. Sol and Bridget are both bounty hunters, and both incorporate a handcuff into their design, likely as a sort of motif to indicate that they are bounty hunters.
I just thought this was too cool to not share and figured I'd ramble about it for a bit.
