writing lwj’s pov is always like “what a beautifully pathetic little man. my darling loser king of unhingedonia. my sweet drama mama. i shall give you the wet wei ying kisses you so desperately desire!”
Did someone say 'wet wei ying kisses'?

Happy Moon Landing Eve! Remember to leave out milk and cookies for Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong, and don’t let Michael Collins convince you to prank NASA!
If Tumblr is still here next July 19th, I fully expect this post to obliterate my activity feed.

if you're not too busy, number 4 for the kiss meme with chengning?
4. An accidental brush of lips followed by a pause and going back for another, on purpose. CW for mild body horror. I’m imagining that this takes place maybe a few months after it may be that it doesn’t matter, or some other AU where they’ve accidentally fallen into bed if not into feelings with each other, and that jiang cheng and wen ning have had a few more encounters since then, although they’re definitely not in a relationship. * "You’re sure it doesn’t hurt?” Jiang Wanyin asks for perhaps the tenth time, a skeptical expression on his face. “It hurt when it came off,” Wen Ning admits, carefully rotating his shoulder since he can’t currently touch the gaping wound, although he is sure it would’t hurt if he did. Jiang Wanyin flinches. “It doesn’t hurt now.” “This is wrong,” Jiang Wanyin says, also for perhaps the tenth time. “You shouldn’t be holding it like that.” “Where else am I supposed to put it?” Wen Ning asks, frowning. It’s a severed arm. It’s not going to fit in his sleeve. Er. Well, it’s not going to fit in his sleeve except as originally intended, anyway.
“Put it in a qiankun pouch,” Jiang Wanyin says immediately. “That way I don’t have to look at it.”
Wen Ning shrugs. “If it would make you more comfortable...” “It would,” Jiang Wanyin says fervently, and pulls out a qiankun pouch. Carefully, Wen Ning drops his own severed arm into the bag, which seals up immediately with a little pulse of Jiang Wanyin’s spiritual energy. It reminds him a little unpleasantly of Hanguang Jun keeping Chifeng Zun’s body parts for safekeeping; he doesn’t like to think of himself as a thing to be suppressed. Jiang Wanyin lifts the bag with a grimace. “You’re sure Wei Wuxian can fix this?” he asks, as though he hadn’t ordered Wen NIng to let him fly them both immediately to Gusu so Wei Wuxian could fix it. “No,” Wen Ning says. He’s never lost a limb before. He has no idea if Wei Wuxian can fix it; probably neither will Wei Wuxian. It won’t stop him from trying, though. “Don’t be absurd,” Jiang Wanyin snaps, and unsheathes Sandu. “He’s the Yiling Patriarch, of course he can fix it. Otherwise what’s the point of him?” “Wei-gongzi doesn’t need to have a point,” Wen Ning corrects him, as Jiang Wanyin slides the pouch back into his sleeve and steps onto Sandu. “I hope he can fix it, though.” He steps onto Sandu behind Jiang Wanyin and immediately almost falls off, more off-balance than he expected. Jiang Wanyin grabs his arm to steady him, although he looks a little nauseated by being so close to the ragged edge of Wen Ning’s sleeve. It’s not bloody, at least. Wen Ning doesn’t really bleed anymore. “Just—look, you should stand in front of me,” Jiang Wanyin says, frowning at him. “Unless you want to fall off into the countryside and snap your neck as well as your arm.” “Jiang-zongzhu is so generous,” Wen Ning says with mild sarcasm, because he had gotten his arm ripped off saving Jiang Wanyin’s life. He does let Jiang Wanyin reposition him at the front of Sandu, one of Jiang Wanyin’s arms wrapped firmly around his waist.
He can’t help himself from shifting uncomfortably as they rise up into the air, the bloody clearing falling away beneath them, because Jiang Wanyin’s arm really is the only thing keeping Wen Ning on the sword. He doesn’t think falling hundreds of feet would kill him, but he’d rather return to Wei Wuxian with only the one detached piece. “I’m not going to drop you,” Jiang Wanyin says irritably into his ear, as if Wen Ning had complained out loud. His breath is very warm against Wen Ning’s body, which has taken on the chill of the atmosphere. “Then don’t,” Wen Ning replies, and Jiang Wanyin snorts a little. They fly in silence for a while. “I can’t believe it doesn’t hurt,” Jiang Wanyin says, as they dip down to avoid flying directly into a cloud. “It doesn’t matter if you believe it,” Wen Ning tells him, and tries to lean with Jiang Wanyin to make the move easier. Unfortunately, Jiang Wanyin is trying to compensate for him, and the result is that Wen Ning stumbles and nearly slides off the sword, and only the way they instinctively grab at each other stops him from falling. Sandu lurches underneath them as a result of their fumbling, and it takes a few moments before Wen Ning releases his breath. A beat later, Jiang Wanyin does the same. “Maybe if I turned around,” Wen Ning says cautiously, “so that I could hang onto you, too?” Jiang Wanyin nods. “Careful.” Wen Ning is careful as he shifts on the edge of the sword, turning in Jiang Wanyin’s arms. Jiang Wanyin is looking right at him, brows furrowed as always, and as Wen Ning hooks his arm around Jiang Wanyin’s neck while Jiang Wanyin keeps hold of his waist, their mouths brush accidentally. They both pause, and then, very deliberately, Jiang Wanyin pulls him back in for a real kiss. Wen Ning lets his eyes drift shut, humming a little into the kiss. Jiang Wanyin is surprisingly sweet, the way he usually is only after he’s been bullied for a while. It’s nice. “All right,” Jiang Wanyin says when Wen Ning draws back to let him breathe, only a little hoarse. “That’s enough, stop mauling me. I have to be able to see.” Wen Ning rests his face against Jiang Wanyin’s neck. He can feel Jiang Wanyin’s pulse racing, a little drumbeat against Wen Ning’s cheek. “Too bad,” he says, then kisses Jiang Wanyin’s throat. Jiang Wanyin swallows. “I’d rather kiss you than talk to you.” “Distract me and I really might drop you,” Jiang Wanyin threatens. Wen Ning laughs a little, and the sound disappears into the wind.
hey so anyone else just, feel thin. sort of stretched. like butter scraped over too much bread. like you need a holiday. a very long holiday. and you don't expect you shall return? or is that just me and bilbo baggins
I have a really bad phobia of spiders to the point of a picture of one on my phone would make me want to throw it to get it out my hands (phone cases are a great thing!) But since I found your blog I've been able to tolerate them more and more. The triangular spiders pictures came across my "for you" page and they were pretty cute. I can look at those without being scared. I am trying to build up exposure and your blog is helping a lot. My phone is being involuntarily ejected from my hands a lot less often when there's spiders now. Thank you!
