      “That’s why they put me there,” said Astoria wryly. “I’m part of the       décor. Apparently I suit the ambience.” She was joking, but there       was perhaps some truth in what she was saying.     Her sarcasm       and dry wit was harmless in that ward, while the peppier healers       tended to be in the more lively wards.

A dry laugh escapes him. “Nah. They probably put you there cause you’re hot and those blokes need something to look forward to.” A smirk played on his lips and he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye.

“I know you’re smart, but it doesn’t mean that you’re intelligent.” Tony’s smirk widened slightly as he looked over at his friend, shutting his book as he spoke. “What was the riddle this time?”

"Oi, I’m intelligent too!” He said, eyes narrowed but rather than argued the subject farther he moved onto the-- ridiculous in his opinion-- question he had been posed this time. “She asked if you had three apples and four oranges in one hand and four apples and three oranges in the other hand, what would you have? Apparently seven oranges and seven apples wasn’t the answer she was looking for.”

Sometimes I sit back and wonder what tomfoolery Terry did to get himself in Dumbledore’s office during his fourth year? From what I can gleam in canon it seems relatively rare that students actually have to go there. He wasn’t a prefect and given the other little tidbits we get about him (especially his move in DH) he doesn’t seem to be a particularly cautious individual. So what trouble did he find himself in that it warranted a visit to the Headmaster’s office?
