A painter in Los Angeles kept missing his exit for the I-5 on the 110 highway, so he did his research, climbed up the overhead sign, and changed it himself without anyone noticing.

This is Richard Ankrom. He couldn’t find his damn exit, cuz it wasn’t properly labelled.  

So he took life by the balls, like any self-respecting Californian would do, and used his sign-painting expertise to fix it himself.

He called it ‘guerilla public service.’ Even got himself an outfit to look official. It worked, obvi.

Caltrans investigated, but the sign was actually up to code. They left it there for 8 years before they made an updated sign.

actual things you can do to keep yourself safe online instead of relying on a dni:

don't use your real name! not even your first name, if it's unusual!

don't tell anybody where you live! not even what state you're in! keep that shit a sexy little mystery that's between you and your mail carrier!!

liberally use the block feature!!!! use it!!! just block people if they give you the heebie jeebies!!

don't post selfies that you've also posted on facebook or anywhere else! reverse image search can be used to find your name if the same image is tied to fb or insta or anywhere else your actual name might be

consider not posting selfies at all actually esp if you're a minor......., shit can be dangerous

there's no reason you have to advertise your age if you're a minor <3 you don't have to tell anyone! don't lie, and please don't interact with 18+ content, or with adults who are uncomfortable with people under 18 interacting--but you don't have to go out of you way to say on your blog "hey I'm a minor and a member of a vulnerable community"! and if someone asks then you are allowed to tell them to fuck off

it’s funny because yes, you CAN disable right click save, but it takes like an extra two seconds to get around it because of how images are displayed on websites. (technically you could also just screenshot but this gets you a real jpg)

for example, instagram has disabled right click save. here I am trying to save a picture of this girl with a pumpkin sweater, but I am thwarted by the lack of right click save!

to get around it, right click and go to “inspect” or “inspect element” (it’s called different things depending on what computer you’re using)

shimmy around the webpage code until you find the “src” bit. It will helpfully tell you when you’ve found it because the image, and only the image, will light up as if you selected it.

that source is the link to where the image is hosted on the website. click the link.

find the actual hosted image. right click on that.
