Sheâs a killer queen gunpowder guillotine [âŠ]
sometimes r e v e n g e is justice.
"Thatâs right, I do," he chuckled, wrapping his arms around her briefly. The sound of her laughter always had a way of bringing out the old Tommy, the one with boyish glee written across his face and a childish innocence threaded into each fiber of his being. He knew he could never allow that old Tommy to thrive again, but it was nice to see him every once in a great while. And he wanted to tell her something now, tell her that he was sorry for being so detached as of late. He wished to tell her that he may love her, that he was afraid of losing her, but there was no time for that, no place for that, not now. Stepping back, he extended his hand. "Now, are you ready to for dinner, or would you like another round?"
Terra took his hand in hers, skimming in between the fingers with her much smaller ones before clutching it to pull him towards her. Close once more, she smiled coyly at him and tilted her head to gaze through her lashes. "Why don't we..." Her hands  released his and raised to move up and down on his chest. "--go back to my place." The young woman briefly flashed him her teeth before continuing, arms creeping around his back and bringing them closer. "I can cook." She explained with a short nod, fully confident in her abilities not to blacken and burn their food. "And... we can continue our little chase elsewhere."Â
He waited, giving her a hefty head start with a grin on his face. Now was a good time for his mind to be hyperactive, watching that familiar head of curls bouncing through the crowd. This was the most he had smiled in such a long time that he wanted to savor it as much as humanly possible. When he was sure she thought she was mildly safe, he cut through the crowd and raced towards her. He was tall, but he was rather slender, able to weave through people with ease. Before long, he could see her again, but he remained on the opposite side of the crowd, running past her before cutting in and cutting her off, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her into the adjacent alley. Pressing her against the wall and capturing her lips, he was quite surprised himself at his bold action. âDo I win?â
She wasnât sure how long had passed, but there had been no sign of Tommy and Terra quickly eased herself into a slow pace, certain that she had lost him. The young woman planned to stop eventually so that he could find, it was only fair after all. But such pride and thinking combined was her downfall in this little game. A squeal  was released from her lips when arms unexpectedly wrapped around her being, pulling her to the nearest private space that the city provided. A few bypassers looked at the couple in question, but didnât phase long and instead went on with their days. Between the wall and Tommy, Terra started to giggle and couldnât stop even as his lips met hers. She encircled her arms around his neck loosely, the laughter dying down but not away, the twinkle of amusement still remaining strong in her eye. âYou win, You win!"
He leaned into her lips, his arm tightening around her as he attempted to regain his composure. He was sure that he was over such shock and awe tactics, but apparently, he was sadly mistaken. Still, he recovered much faster than he would have prior, turning his head to capture her lips briefly. âIt will be on a twenty-four hour clock. So every four hours, the drawer will pop out, probably hit me in the knee with my luck and remind me to take a snack out of it. If I donât take the snack after a set amount of time, itâll set off an alarm.â He shrugged, having read over the spell quite a few times in consideration. Still, he shuddered at the incentive, eyes darting over to her. âAlright, Iâll get the snack,â he breathed. âPromptly.â
As she rushed away from him, he chuckled but headed off at a quick pace. âHave you seen my legs in comparison to yours? I know I can keep up just fine.â
âThat doesnât mean anything! My legs are shorter but I can still move fast!â She grinned at him, bouncing on her feet. âWell... catch you later!â With a wink and a kiss blown his way, Terra darted from him, ducking between the couple in front of them and weaving further into the crowd. She ignored the brief exclaim of surprise and continued, a smirk plastered on her lips. The girl loved a good chase -- although, this time, she had the role she almost never had. The prey to Tommyâs predator. Well, kind of predator. Terra wasnât quite sure heâd make a good predator, but sheâd give him the chance to prove her wrong.
Tommy nearly choked on his spit at the words that came out of her mouth. Great, the one thing he picked up in the locker room at work would have to be that. He was going to punch Aramis later. âRight, w-with me. To - right.â He relaxed when her laughter filled the air, tightening his grasp around her with a smile. âOkay, Iâll do a test run tomorrow, and Iâll see how it works out. Canât be too hard of course. Itâs just charming a drawer. I canât promise Iâll remember to go to the store and pick up said snacks tomorrow though.â He grinned wryly at her. âJust kidding. Iâll make a note. And I will definitely keep to my promise.â He paused at her question before shaking his head. âNo, I guess I donât,â he laughed. âLead the way.âÂ
Triumph swirls in her chest at his reaction and she giggles lowly to herself, extremely satisfied with herself. Terra inched closer and bounced to the ball of her toes, fingers gripping onto the folds of his clothing, so that she could press a chaste kiss to his jawline. It was more or less a small apology for making him jump out his skin at her words. âTell me how it goes then. Iâm curious. I trust that it works though, because Pandora doesnât strike me as the type to recommend useless tactics.â She leaned her head on his shoulder, âTommy, get the snacks. Iâll make it worth your while if you do."
The girl stayed against him a moment more and then sighed, skipping away from him to look at him cheekily. âThink you can keep up with me?"
NO SALVATION
"My poor mother
begged for a sheep
but raised a wolf.â
// for girls with razor sharp claws and golden rings adorned on their fingers; the scrapes on your knees from praying ooze time and time again, but it doesnât matter, no, it doesnât matter because you no longer weep for your wounds. you do not weep because you are stronger than that. you are the wolf hidden among the sheep. [listen] [how to: download]
"O-Oh! Hey! D-Do you need some help with that?"
âAh--â The girl frowned at the crack, worrying her lip between her teeth. âItâs already broken. Thanks though...â She turned to him, head tilting as she took in his appearance. âHello, Kieran, itâs been a while."
"Itâs okay, I guess."
"It just really looked like you were hitting on me."
âWell... Itâs not too late for that. I still could since you look so disappointed in my not flirting with you."
You gave me an incredibly good description. Iâm glad I could deliver on my promise.
Yes... thank you. [she held it close as if it were a dear child, cradling the box in her arms] I donât know how I could repay you for this.
"Hmm? Sorry did you say something?"
âI shouldâve spoken up, my fault.â She smiled softly, âI was commenting on your eyes, theyâre really quite something."
âMoney, money, money, must be funny⊠Sorry, I havenât noticed you standing there. Do you need anything?â
Terra brow furrowed at the line that spilled from the otherâs lips, wondering where such a tune originated. âSorry no, I was just having a look."
âWhat was that from -- if you donât mind me asking that is..."
[He winked at her and stepped inside. The box was sitting on the front table. Once back outside he handed it to her.]Â Here you go. Is it like the one you had as a child?
[Words fail her as the music box is placed in her hands, gazing at it with no little wonder] I... Iâm amazed.
It looks remarkably similar to the one I had. ...How did you do it?
He rolled his eyes at her playful demeanor, and he wondered if perhaps they had switched spirits entirely. âYou know, if I go down, Iâm taking you with me,â he warned. A roaring chuckle left his lips as she swatted at him, shaking his head. âAlright, alright,â he huffed. âIâll follow Gilroyâs lead and have a desk drawer stocked full of treats, yeah? How does that sound? Is that reasonable? Then Iâll just put it on a timer so that it slides open. Not pops open, but slides.â He grinned cheekily, patting her arm. At the admission, he shrugged. âIâm just - used to it.â It wasnât like he was fed much while at home, so he learned to cope. He smiled, her concern truly heart-warming. âI promise, my love.âÂ
She grinned cheekily in return, eyes twinkling with humor. âIâd love to go down on you... I mean--â Her eyes widened in mock embarrassment, â--with you.â The brunette corrected herself, giggling at the innuendo. Terra bumped her hip against his and resumed walking normal beside him. âSounds good with me. Tell me how it works though, because Iâm not completely sold.â The girl frowned at his words, glancing at him sympathetically. âGood. Keep to that promise now.â She tightened her grasp on his shirt at the thought of yet another broken promise in her before quickly shaking her head to push away the unwanted thoughts. âDo you know where weâre going?"
