something i think is funny about Breaking Bad is how so much of the “badass kingpin Heisenberg” stuff is like, not even really from the show but just from the marketing like that season 5 poster that says “Hail to the King” like his “reign” was basically just the brief period between when he had the AB goons massacre a bunch of prisoners and when he ‘retired’ which was just a time lapse montage in one episode and even then he couldn’t match the output of Gus

I legitimately had the completely wrong expectations going into BrBa because I was only really familiar with it from the marketing, and I found it immensely more enjoyable that Walter White was actually a fucking idiot who sucks and is an awful person. I think the few times he actually outsmarts or destroys his enemies are actually more striking because of this.
