Well excuse me, but researchers at Harvard Medical School (and literally everyone else) disagrees.

Aspirin is one of the standard treatments for an acute heart attack, and the sooner the better. It prevents the blood clot from getting bigger.

If you chew aspirin tablets, it will reach a therapeutical plasma concentration within five minutes. If you swallow, it takes 14 minutes. Maximum plasma concentration is reached in 16 minutes when you chew. Takes 26 minutes if you don’t.

Oh, and you shouldn’t lie down either, unless you’re passing out. That will just increase the workload on the heart when it’s already pretty stressed out from lack of oxygen. Sit up.
