Two Americas. Blue > Red.
Oklahoma is proof whiteness is not superior.
Can't imagine being a young person watched and judged by adult [religious] idiots.
This is exactly demonstrative of what is constantly being talked about in regard to Democrats now fully being the party of the upper class elite. In other words, the people who live cushy lives in abundance of the finer things, are sneering at the lower class folk and all the challenges they go through by totally discounting their hardships and their values as unimportant and unworthy of attention because the sole reason the plebs are voting differently MUST be due to being dumb knuckle dragging bitter clingers. The upper class have the luxury of believing in policies that make them feel righteous because the consequences don't affect them.
“It was September. In the last days when things are getting sad for no reason.”

Holy shit, the Supreme Court just actually did something
You know how the ATF can decide what is and isn't legal despite not being part of the legislative branch? The supreme court just struck that down. It should hurt every three-letter-agency that is used to operating with impunity.
R.I.P. Chevron Deference.
You won't be missed, except by tyrants.
As I understand this, it doesn't undo any previous usage of Chevron Deference, but at least they can't use it going forward.
I love all the people pearl clutching about "but if people have to actually have jury trials to decide if what they did was illegal then how can these agencies function?"
What she and Elica Le Bon said.
Leftist morality has been reduced to "lighter skin is bad and darker skin is good" and "Europeans have a history of colonizing non-Europeans, so anyone who isn't European is automatically and perpetually an innocent victim who can't possibly be bad" and "only Europeans are capable of being colonizers"
Islamists LOVE how easy Western Leftist youths are to brainwash and bring into their fold.
What happened to critical thinking and like skillful thinking. As well as context and doing research.
This is just mindless behavior, acting without any thought or judgement.
This feels very cult in behavior and action.
New York went from "defund the police" to a third world country with military in their subways. Oh liberals, you truly are special people.

the best summary of middle-class american economics I've seen
What's weird is how leftists will think "I DESERVE x-amount of $$" and somehow, someway, they possess the authority to simply declare their "worth" on behalf of those who need to part with the capital destined for your pockets... This is the best summary of economic literacy on the political Left. As if your salary is defined by what you, yourself feel is just, and not, what someone deems your output is worth in order to continue the for-profit operation which needs to exist to even offer you a job in the first place.
I honestly don't understand this often declared progressive bromide. What principle links someone's willingness to pay someone for specific labour, to that of, said labour necessarily being valuable enough to bring in sufficient capital that both, rewards the person for seeking labour in the first place, as well as provides stead residence and sustenance for the person labouring?? Is this this how economics functions? ...if you feel that putting a tomato on a burger means you can afford food and a home in a densely populated locale... then, it should?
Saddest thing ever is reading an academic paper about a threatened or declining species where you can tell the author is really trying to come up with ways the animal could hypothetically be useful to humans in a desperate attempt to get someone to care. Nobody gives a shit about the animals that “don’t affect” us and it seriously breaks my heart
“No I can’t come out tonight I’m sobbing about this entomologist’s heartfelt plea for someone to care about an endangered moth”
This is how I learn there's a moth whose tiny caterpillars live exclusively off the old shells of dead tortoises.
[Image description: text from a section titled On Being Endangered: An Afterthought that says:
Realizing that a species is imperiled has broad connotations, given that it tells us something about the plight of nature itself. It reminds us of the need to implement conservation measures and to protect the region of which the species is a part. But aside form the broader picture, species have intrinsic worth and are deserving of preservation. Surely an oddity such as C. vicinella cannot simply be allowed to vanish.
We should speak up on behalf of this little moth, not only because by so doing we would bolster conservation efforts now underway in Florida, [highlighting begins] but because we would be calling attention to the existence of a species that is so infinitely worth knowing. [end highlighting]
But is quaintness all that can be said on behalf of this moth? Does this insect not have hidden value beyond its overt appeal? Does not its silk and glue add, potentially, to its worth? Could these products not be unique in ways that could ultimately prove applicable?
End image description]
because we would be calling attention to the existence of a species that is so infinitely worth knowing
I was so inspired by this I made it into a piece of art for a final in one of my courses for storytelling in conservation
"Intrinsic" ?? Who imbued this intrinsic value???
A new 3D female anatomy model is being used to teach first year medical students.
I can't get the video to embed on tumblr I'm afriad, please click through and have a look, the video is only 1.23 minutes long, and they unequivocally talk about female anatomy!
This is especially important now that the trans activists are starting to say “what if trans women could get uterus transplants?!?”
