riley would be such a horror movie buff and probably has been since she was way too young. unsupervised, barely parented, up way past her bedtime most nights, watching r-rated movies (the gorier the better) while she’s curled up in her 101 dalmatians pyjamas. she’d introduce seven to her favourites and seven would pretend to be as into them as riley is, but she’s actually such a weenie baby and gets so scared one night that she feigns illness and skips school the next day. when lucy finds out, it’s the only real time she ever properly admonishes riley (they laugh about it, years later, fully at seven’s expense).

post-seven leaving the band, rowan and iris try to fill her space, and as much as riley appreciates them for caring, it just isn’t the same. they never get scared enough to bury their faces against her body and ask her if it’s over.
