Hanji would definitely choose a human’s life over a titan’s. Titans are her lab rats and that’s all, she has no real attachment to them. Though intrigued by them, titans are seemingly immeasurable. If one dies, eventually she can get another (or she’ll continue to test Eren). Humanity is not immeasurable, what they have then is what they have for good. 

She may be a little reckless with her own life, but when it comes to others’ lives, Hanji doesn’t mess around. She isn’t researching just for the sake of learning about titans, she does it for humanity. Just like every other person, she wants to rid the world of titans. She wants to see (and eventually explore/research) this vast world ahead of them. First the titans have to go, and what a better way than to do it herself, right?

The woman is willing to put herself in the line of danger for humanity, I think that says a lot about which she would choose if forced to decide to save one or the other. Humans, the answer is always humans.
