Hi there! So we’ve been really nervous about posting this, but… here’s our take on a soulbond/soulbonding flag!
Please note that this flag is meant purely for the metaphysical definition of soulbonding. While we understand that the term soulbond has been used as a synonym for fictive or fictional introject before, we do not want this flag to be used for anything but soulbonds and soulbonders who view their connection to each other as a metaphysical experience.
This is our definition of a soulbond, crafted through research on other soulbonders’ and soulbonds’ experiences, to go along with this flag:
“A person from another world (whether that world be somehow depicted in this world’s media or not) who has contact with, or has appeared in, the mind of a person from this world, (the soulbonder), through emotional, mental, or other such connections, such as astral projection, etc.”
Here are the flag colors and their meanings, from top to bottom:
Red: The energy used to summon a soulbond, whether it be on purpose or without realizing.
Orange: The spectrum of relationships (romantic, platonic, alterous, etc) a soulbond and soulbonder can have.
Beige: Unity between soulbond and soulbonder; variance in soulbonding experiences.
Purple: The forces that bring together soulbond and soulbonder; spirituality and/or the metaphysical.
Dark Blue: The travel across timespace that brings a soulbond to be with their soulbonder.
We did a lot of searching for a flag before deciding to make our own and didn’t find one, but if anyone else knows of another flag specifically for soulbonding, please let us know!
