replies are decentralized along the reblog chain. each reblog has its own comments and only the person specifically being replied to receives a notification for this. replies seem to work as normal otherwise.

op will receive notifications from a reblogged post even if it has additions. this is from a chain in which x2 is the op and xxx's addition is being reblogged directly:

unless you are directly being reblogged from, you will not receive a notification for posts you made an addition to. for example, in the chain of [OP > RBA > RBB > OP], only RBB will receive a notification. in the chain of [OP > RBA > RBB > RBA > RBB], OP and RBA will receive both notifications.
