Heyyyyyyy I've never really made a. plain resourcing post like this. But I'm in quite a predicament rn.
I'm a waiter, so my money comes in day by day. My fiance is disabled and doesn't have a job, so said day by day income is really all we have. Problem is that, due to some vet bills recently, I was reaaally relying on my income this weekend to pay our rent, which is due on the fifth.
We live in mid-michigan, which is under an extreme heat advisory and has several storms running through this week. One of them, today, knocked out the power in our home and at my place of work. It's not expected to be back on until the fifth, at almost 10 pm, but which gives me no time to get that money together.
Rent is 905. I have just short of 200. If I can pay even half of the rent by the fifth I at least avoid a late fee, which would put us even deeper in a hole. So I need at minimum 250, and at most 700.
There is another restaurant that I can attempt to pick up shifts at, but the tips I make there are about a third of what I could be making at my main job. I'll count anything I manage to make toward the goal of this post, if someone is willing to part with a shift for me.
