a/n: DJDJSJKSJSJS SO I DIDNT PLAN THIS BUT HERE WE GO AGAIN 😀
That’s what you said to your friends when they have their internet lovers. Of course, the bitter you said that because at that time you met a guy from an app similar to tinder but eventually when the two of you met irl, the jeje, conyo guy rejected you in front of the whole school. That really humiliated you. He wasn’t worthy of you tbh, he did NOT deserve you. You really don’t get why some people would already catch feelings for someone they literally just met online.
The concept didn’t make sense to you at all. So you decided to not fall some random guy online.
But..
“Haaah..putangina..”
@jay_parkkk
can’t wait to see soon, babe! <3
You curse under your breath, feeling itchy as your scratch your head in distress. You stood up from your office chair and walking out of your room, leaving your suppose lover on read.
You said that online love doesn’t exist right? Scratch that, you actually found yourself a boy from a decent dating app. It is a shock that you and Jay will be celebrate your two years anniversary, together, at the Philippines.
Umm, did I hear that right? Philippines?
Yes, Philippines. Apparently your boyfriend already booked a flight ticket from America— from another continent— to Philippines and apparently will be arriving two days from now. And now you’re panicking about his arrival.
It would’ve been okay if you’re still in your apartment, you can let him stay a while for there together but you’re in your province right now. Where all your relatives live under the same roof, same neighborhood and the same street.
“Boyfriend na foreigner!?” Will be their reactions for sure. Although all of them already knew you have a boyfriend, you only told your parents and siblings about where he’s from and where you two met.
They were amused, who knew the bitter girl would contradicts herself and finds a american-korean guy in some online dating app.
It would be an absolute disaster if Jay meets your whole family tree.
Your, quote and quote, family tree.
“Maaaaa, anong gagawin ko!” You shriek in panic, biting your nails as you walk back and forth through the kitchen isle. “Hay nako. Mamaya papagalitan nanaman ako ni lola tsaka sasabihin na—wag kang basta bastang magtitiwala ng mga taong nakilala mo sa internet!” You said, imitating your grandma’s voice with two of your hands place in you hips.
Your mother laughs and proceeds to continue cooking bihon for today’s dinner. “Y/N, malaki kana. Nagsisisi kaba sa mga desisyon mo?” She glances at you and lightly shakes her head. Taking a break from cooking, she grabs a container of fresh mangoes and hands it to you. “Ito oh. Ibigay mo ‘to sa lola mo. Galing pa ‘yan sa kuya mo sa Zambales. Tapos sasabihin mo din kay lola mo na dadating boyfriend mo dito.” She pats you shoulders, pushing you out of the kitchen and gave a smile.
“Ma! Di mo gets talaga, kukurutin ako ‘non! Gusto mo bang mamatay bunso mo—” Your proclaims were interrupted by your niece’s loud voice.
“Hala, tita! May tumatawag sayo!” Your niece shouts from the living room.
“Sino daw sila?”
“Ano daw..Johnson? Ah! Jongsung?” Upon hearing the incorrect name, you immediately run straight to the leaving room snatching the phone from your niece without even realizing you had press the answer button.
“Hi babe.”
“B-babe!?” You niece exclaimed rather loudly from the sudden nickname.
“Anong babe?” Your grandma walks out of the room, sending a suspicious glance to the two of you.
“Hello po la!” You cheerfully said, trying so hard to hide your panic as you attempt to end the call with Jay which terribly failed. Your phone slipped from your hands which led to your niece catching it.
“Babe? Is everything okay?” Jay questions, worried that something happened.
“Wow, ang sosyal ng english ha. Taray naman.” Your niece loudly exclaims upon hearing your lover’s voice. “Tita, gwapo naman ng boses! Parang pogi typings ang dating.”
“Bunso, sinabi mo naba sa lola mo tungkol kay Jongseong?” Your mother added as she walks out from the kitchen drying her hands with a towel.
“English? Sino ‘yan? Sino si Jongseong?”
“Umm h-hahaha ano ba pinagsasabi mo ma.”
“Tama! Jongseong!” Your niece excitedly glee. “Hello po, sino ho— ay i mean who are you?!”
“Hoy!” You panicked.
“I—”
“Jay nO—!”
“I’m Y/N’s boyfriend from america— well I’m actually from korea but I was born in america!”
A pregnant silence followed. You literally want to dig a hole and bury yourself from shame. The entrance door let’s out a squeaky noise as your eyes traveled to it, there you see your other relatives such as you aunties and uncles huddling from outside with eyes and mouth wide open.
The worse this situation in Ukraine is getting the more i hate the jokes americans make about it. All of those "vladdy look at me this isn't u 🥺" "not me living through ww3" and "i don't wanna get drafted" jokes are just in bad taste to me. If it were my country, i would not want people to joke about it this way.
And i see so many of them go "well we use humor to cope" literally from what? What do you need to cope from? The traumatic event of watching the news and seeing footage of something that's happening hundreds of miles away from you? That's no different from any other war that's been happening over the last two decades though. Wars that America has very much been involved in. So why is this different to you? Because "white" countries are involved now?
Before you joke think about what you're saying. American teens and young adults are probably as far removed from this conflict as can be, which is why you find it so easy to joke about this. I have also seen brits and other west europeans make jokes so ofc americans aren't the only ones, but you are the majority. I have yet to see east europeans make jokes though. Why? Because they realize how serious this situation is and jokes don't help.
Meanwhile Ukrainians have to sit and watch their land be invaded. They are losing their homes. I stand with Ukraine 💙💛
If you are looking for an emergency exit from Ukraine, Poland will open EIGHT safety points on the border with Ukraine (you will get warm food, medical help and from there you will be guided to safety) in two of our voivodeships: lubelskie and podkarpackie. It is confirmed by the Polish Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Paweł Szefernaker.

SYNOPSIS. you first played the game when you were ten. you had no idea about zombies or how things work in that scenario. you just liked the action in the moves. the manhwa based off of it came three years after. a long series of volumes you followed throughout high school. you liked the desperate urge to survive, the fear in the pages. now nearly a decade since the game was first launched, and the years of ongoing gore graphics, the overlong story finally ends; but does it really? volume 113: the safe zone. it's on your side table when you fall asleep. and you're inside it when you wake up. will you be able to remember the details and manage to survive? this time you like the boy in the uniform.
cosmic stands for entering into another universe and cherry stands for the gore and blood(and maybe love?)
i haven't picked the member yet so you can all send in your suggestions on which member i should write this with. (for now my top picks are heeseung and jungwon)
MAY TANONG AKOOOO. Sooo nag plano uli ako ng isang fil fanfic ung similar kay hee. who should i do next 🤔 nag dadalawang isip aq if si jay ba o si jake help 😭😭😭
Heeseung swore that if he were to sight a pond somewhere, he would instantly jump on it.
The ride back to your mother’s house was a disaster. Your lover was too overwhelmed by how many vehicles on the street, he’s more surprised that no one has been hit yet and to add the headache he’s been feeling, today was really hot.
You told him that he was overreacting but you too, yourself was soaking buckets of sweats as well. The traffic jam made it worse too. But lucky, the two of you eventually arrive to your mother’s home.
“Ethan?” Your grandmother called out to him, her voice was quiet and gentle, she lightly tugs onto his shirt. Heeseung thoughtfully insisted to call him by his english name, Ethan, instead of his real name so it would be easier to pronounce it. “Do you know how to climb trees?”
“I’m sorry..not really. Is there something you want me to do?” Heeseung politely asked, slightly tilting his head giving a questionable look to the old woman.
“I was going to ask you to get me a couple of banana leaves.” Responded by Lola Ala as she pointed at the tall banana trees that is located behind the house.
“But if you can’t do it, then that’s fine. I’ll just ask Y/N instead.”
Heesung’s eyes go slightly wide with evident shock written his face. “Wait wait, Y/N?” To be honest, he was really shock with you being one of your grandmother’s choices to climb the gigantic tall trees. Who knew his girlfriend would be quite a climber.
“Ano po nay?” You ask your grandma, taking your hands with her wrinkled ones as she glances and points at the gigantic tree. Not gonna lie, the day was hot but nevertheless you obliged and trying to show off your skill to Heeseung.
“You know how to climb trees?” He shockingly said, starring at you with his round doe eyes. A small ‘o’ formed his mouth, slightly tilting his head. “It’s because I really don’t. A certain someone taught me.” Heeseung’s ears perks at your words, curiosity got the best of him. And maybe jealousy.
“And who’s that I may ask?”
“That’s a secret.” You bring a finger to your lips making a quiet sign then mischievously smirks at him. Of course, he took that as an hurtful sign and take the matter with his hands.
“Actually, I know how to climb trees.”
He perisuadedly brags to you. He somehow got a neutral look on his face. You didn’t know if he’s joking or not. You think for a minute and decided to give him the knife.
He had an awestruck expression, feeling the large knife on his hand. Finally, he climbs the tree surprisingly with ease and cuts the banana leaves as the green peels falls rather fast to the ground.
Your grandma laughs at your lovers antics. Despite his tall, intimidating body, he still has his childish sides which you and your grandma find it funny.
“Iha,” Lola Ala calls you.
“Ano po, Nay?”
“Kailan ang kasal nyo? Engage na ba kayo?”
…
Choking at your own saliva, she pats your back gently as you cough loudly. Your sound of choking attracts the attention of Heesung who’s still at the banana tree. “Love! Are you okay!?” He yells from above as you only send him a thumbs up. Although It can’t be seen to his face that he’s worried, the tone of his voice says otherwise.
“Nanay naman kase.”
“Oh? Ba’t parang kasalanan ko?”
You scratch your neck as you sigh in embarrassment, facing your head at the ground. “Wala pa kaming plano magpakasal..” You bury your face to your hands as your grandma only laughs more.
“Hahaha! No need to rush Iha. Take your time.” As cue, your lover gets down with a proud smile plasters on his face. Eyes gleaming looking at you with pure excitement.
“Love, I didn’t knew climbing trees and cutting leaves would be that fun. I wanna do it again.” He enthusiastically says, showing you the leaves that he cuts. You look at him, giving a kiss on his cheek. “You did a very good job Hee.”
“Well done Iho. Now let’s all go inside and start preparing for Budol Fight.” You grandma instructed as she quickly goes off. While Heeseung was too preoccupied by what your grandma means.
“B-budeol? What is that?”
“It’s budol you idiot. You’ll see it later.”
“We’re eating on a leaf?”
“Yeah because I don’t want to do the dishes.”
“What.”
A couple of your cousins gladly explained what budol is, you really didn’t give him a clear answer which lead Heeseung in confusion watching the whole preparation of budol.
Leaves lining up the long table as the various of foods placed on it, including the lechon.
“KAINAN NA!”
The sound of your uncle’s loud voice echoing the room, your family members began feasting the foods. Heeseung on the other hand was quite confused and overwhelmed by the sudden feast, looking at everyone on how they do it. Some of them told him to eat or otherwise there will be no food left for him.
You look at him, noticing that he’s not eating and grab a handful of lechon skin and placing it in front of him. “Hee, do you want to use spoon?” You ask, clearly seeing his surprise face. You were genuinely worried for him seeing he’s not eating. Normally in Korea, they would use either chopsticks or spoon and fork; the two of you don’t even use hands while eating. This experience is definitely new for the man.
“No, no. I want try what you’re doing.”
Since that day he told you that he would be going with you to the Philippines, he knew very well that he needed to love and embrace your culture, accepting it like it’s a part of him. For the past few days, he’s been observing everyone the way they talk, the way they greet—whilst sometimes if you aren’t looking, he would do some research and ask your little niece and nephews.
He really wants to impress you.
Your heart flutters at the sudden reply. Flushed face as you teach Heeseung how to eat with hands. It seems like you didn’t need to worry because soon enough, he got the hang of it and eats with his hands like he’s been doing it for years. He’s adapting everything very quick.
“It’s yummy, isn’t it?” You smile, taking a few bites from your portion. You watch him as he skillfully eats the red rice with the crispy lechon.
A grin makes its way to his face. Seeing your lover learning your culture definitely makes you want to marry him.
