I’m happy with how that went. A great movie-going experience too! I’ll save my thoughts when it’s on YouTube, but rest assured, whatever ppl said during the leaks can be best articulated with a quote from Bubble: “blehhhhhh”

📢 Calling for survey *tributes!! *participants
I’m conducting a research study on how The Hunger Games fandom has changed over time—from the original trilogy era (Facebook, Tumblr, Fanfiction.net, early Twitter) to today’s fandom spaces like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and beyond.
Whether you:
📚 Read the books when they first came out
🎬 Lived through the movie release era
🕊️ Joined through The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes or Sunrise on the Reaping
📱 Have thoughts about Tumblr-era THG vs. TikTok THG
…I’d love to hear from you!
I’m especially interested in:
✨ How fandom feels different now
✨ How the prequels changed how fans view characters like Haymitch & Snow
✨ What social media/algorithms shape what becomes popular in fandom
📋 Survey: ~5–10 minutes
🎤 Optional follow-up interview if you want to talk more
Whether you’ve been here since Katniss volunteered as tribute or you just entered the arena, your perspective matters 💛

I fear my spelling mistakes are the regrets that will continue to keep me up at night ight
I love that AI art was a plot point of the Devil Wears Prada 2 and yet they still hired someone to draw all the “AI art” shown in the movie and posted a video of it being made to show that it wasn’t AI like it really is that easy not to be sloppy even when trying to show slop
The TADC trailer dropped during my nail appointment and because my nail tech is the person who recommended the show to me (about a week out from episode 8 when my first ever appointment with her was), we put a pause on the nails and got movie tickets together 😂😭😭 shoutout to Evelyn.
Fandom is a beautiful, crazy silly fun experience 💅🏼🎪🤡🌀🐰🩵✨
The realisation that the others still care about him DESPITE everything just kills me like he’s surrounded by such good and forgiving people
I can’t stop thinking about this scene and when Jack says the following:
Like he always tends to do, he likes to rage bait the others—push their buttons. And the thing is… they’ve told him things that he’s tried to ignore. Like Ragatha’s comment about having no friends likely being the worst of them all, but even other moments like in the guns episode with Pomni, or Zooble not taking any of his bs.
He is having a hard time accepting what’s happened, granted all the characters are going though it, but the way we see Jax experience the hyperventilating when he’s away from the others or out of sight… he tries so hard to not let others see he’s in distress. He doesn’t mind when they see him be a jerk or get angry.
I’m not one to theorize often, and I’m certainly no psychologist, but I can’t help but think a lot about Jax’s emotions from the most recent episodes.
My guess is that after Ragatha entered the circus, it was Gangle, and then Jax, then Zooble and Pomni. And before Jax or around when Jax entered was when we had other characters like Kaufmo and Ribbit. I think he says this about Pomni and Zooble because they call him out on his bs the most, but with Pomni it’s more vulnerable, and with Zooble I think it’s more so that they have Gangle’s attention, and we see in earlier episodes how Jax likes to poke at Gangle, and with Zooble around he doesn’t get to have his “play thing.”
So why is this scene so interesting to me? Well, he’s not succeeding at riling up the others. They are so done with this place that they can’t be bothered to refute Jax. And the thing is, maybe it’s not just because they’re tired, maybe if we think about how Zooble threw him the “you’re included in this too” nod, that we the audience know gave him some comfort after nearly abstracting in the previous episode. I think they also just didn’t bother with indulging that conversation because they know this is just him lashing out. And he even sighs and for once doesn’t push things further.
Then we get to the torture scenes after the group successfully upsets Caine. Knowing that the character designs in the circus are a manifestation of their insecurities, I have found Jax as a bunny harder to understand (but full disclosure I started watching the episodes a little over a week ago thanks to my nail tech recommending the show).
I think Jax isn’t comfortable in his skin, and/or his skin represents a shield for a bigger insecurity he is burying deep (both things can be true). Which in my mind explains why he’s desperately trying to cover back up.
He’s terrified of being laughed at, yet he claims to be the funny guy. Humor functions as his deflections and his coping mechanisms. Perhaps these are aspects of learned behavior for his own survival.
It was clear in the last episode that he’s running away from something in the real world. The moments where he flashes back to driving fast down a dark road initially made me wonder if he had unalived a person and is dealing with the guilt and manage to escape into the game to avoid facing criminal charges. But now I think he could be a victim who was trying to get away from an abusive situation. Idk, again I’m just writing and thinking and want to hear what other people think because I am absolutely FLOORED by this episode.
But I think he’s a rabbit because he’s got the attitude of the hare (like tortoise and the hare) and tries to skedaddle from shit he doesn’t want to deal with. And like when you pull a rabbit out of a hat, the rabbit is complacent with being in that hat. He’s complacent with being stuck in this circus.
My thoughts on him going into the series finale is that if it’s a happy? ending, he’ll find strength in vulnerability. If it’s an everything is effed ending… it was nice knowing you all.
Just leaving a little star right here ⭐
you can claim it after ep8…
UPDATE: THIS AGED BADLY
I AM GOING TO SEE BTS IN CONCERT 🥹💜✨
I’ve been a fan since 2017… they’re the reason I figured out my dream career path in fan studies research. It’s a glorious year already
Ngl, after watching that Stranger Things Finale I’m going to be even more continually butthurt about cancelled shows that had so much potential. Like I’m talking The Society, First Kill, Shadow and Bone, Dead End: Paranormal Park… and like???? I’m probs missing a lot that I’d love people to comment below just so I can stew in these feelings
Obviously I’ve been listening to the Hazbin Hotel S2 soundtrack on repeat and it got me thinking about how if S3 is going to be more so about Angel and Husk, and family themes with the Morningstars, then that means more songs sung by Blake, Keith, and Jordan….. am I right????
My mom said, “You know how some shows and movies do the flash forward to get a glimpse of the happy ending? I miss when those were only five minutes long.”
Alright fellas. Just waiting on Volume 2 of Stranger Things S5 for Mike Wheeler’s bi-awakening and not much else.
I’ve made the courageous decision to watch the new Hazbin Hotel episodes while at work tomorrow. Should be fine unless I have a reason to… react? I’ll give an update later on how it goes.
Yeah… I needed a couple of business days to process those final two episodes which I thankfully watched at home BECAUSE WTF THEY WERE SO GOOD BUT ALSO MY HEART IS BROKEN FOR ANGEL DUST AND HUSK FUCKKKKKK

Call me crazy (I am)… I know we’re on Episode 6 Huskerdust but if I can turn our attention back to Episode 3, there’s something about Husk struggling to threaten Angel and blurting “I’ll fucking spank you” — that’s such an easy lowball thing Angel Dust could’ve joked about, but with the emotions being so high that even acknowledging that mess that came out of Husk’s mouth was far from Angel’s mind because he was so focused on Husk’s well being OKAY LIKE they care so much about each other it’s sickening.
Side note: love that Keith improvised the spanking bit like that was so old school and I won’t get over it for forever, like such a non-threat threat I canNOT
Disney really didn't need to give Dana more reasons to hate them but by god they gave her some anyway
