Reasons not to have your dog offleash at a public park:

1) roads (this one is self-explanatory)

2) it makes the park inaccessible to like, entire swathes of the population. If you have experience with police dogs or guard dogs in your neighborhood, or you're a new immigrant from somewhere with a large population of feral dogs, it sucks ass going to the park and having someone's massive lab bound up to you!

3) If, for example, you are in a protected wetland area plastered with friendly signs asking you to please leash your dog to avoid causing an ecological impact, having your dog offleash might cause an ecological impact! "Oh no, my dog is well-behaved, they would never bother the wildlife" wrong! your dog is in the pond trying to eat the endangered Blandings' turtles!

4) Non-zero chance of a jokerified park guide (me) just clipping your dog to a leash and stealing them

Unleashed dogs were the bane of my existence when my little girl was like 5 or 6. My daughter just had this weird little thing where she is scared of animals twice her size sprinting up to her, knocking her over, and then invading her personal space despite her being clearly distressed.

"Oh don't worry they don't bite!" First off, I don't believe you actually know that for sure. Second, that is hardly the only problem here. My daughter was so scared of dogs that she would cry and had to be picked up and protected to feel safe whenever she saw one for years because of this bullshit.

The way all the 2020s have done so far have been making me categorically against every new generation of tech that comes out is insane. Like I'm from a technological boom generation, saw the first portable phones, nokias & blackberries & flipphones etc, and the first smartphones, and the first ipods & ipads & tablets in general while still having cassettes & DVD & MP3 players around so I know how all of it work, I had computer classes in high school, I did the transition between home desktop computers to laptops and back to gaming computers. But then they started to put internet in your printer & microwave, everything has ads & AI now and every update is worst than the last. I literally loved technology and they ruined it

The reason these things are considered acceptable for parents and abusive for everyone else is because youth are second class citizens who don't have the right to self determination

You cannot be safe for transfems if you are not also transfeminist. You cannot be an ally to transfems and our liberation if you are not explicitly and loudly transfeminist. Not being transfeminist is not morally neutral or unbiased, it is a clear failing to consider and support the transfems in your life and around the world. If you cannot be transfeminist, then you shouldn't talk to transfems, you shouldn't talk about transfems, and you have no place in our lives or in this world. When you fill this blog's reblogs and tags up with your "sorry for being white and sorry for ignoring them," you are covering up and speaking over their experiences in order to try and feel better about yourself. You are still prioritizing yourself in a conversation that is explicitly not about you.

Make your own post if you really, truly want to reflect on how you can be a better ally. Here is not the place for it. Let the dolls speak. Put them on a pedestal like they deserve.
