3. Least favorite canon thing about this character?

His disregard for pretty much everyone in his life. Does it make for interesting plots and angst? Yes. Is it also extremely enfuriating watching him disregard basically everyone who isn't Teddy (and even disregard Teddy at times)? Yes!

I love this character trait from a writer standpoint, but from a reader standpoint it makes me wanna scream sometimes. Pay attention to your friends and family, Billy! They love you!

Unironically this one.

He thinks he has so much swag, not a care in the world, I fucking love it-

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

My first impression of Billy was in YA V2 and I don't think I fully got the complexities of his character yet, he wasn't even my favorite character in the comic (I was a Loki fan, please don't judge me-), and I kinda thought he was a bit selfish but I thought he was really neat.

I have sense discarded that idea, mostly, and am deeply fascinated by how flawed a character he is and how he's constantly trying to make himself better, for better or worse, and how he's a character so deeply controlled by his self doubt and anxiety, that's something that really speaks to me as someone who deals with a lot of mental health issues myself

This question was oddly hard, but the idea that I kept coming back to for this was putting Billy in one of the MCR album stories, either the I'm Not Okay (I Promise) music video or the whole Danger Days (The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys) verse

(I think I just like MCR too much and have been listening to them on loop, mayhaps-)

Current comics Billy feels like he would rock a goth vampire esc aesthetic, meanwhile V1 Billy is a teenage dirtbag to me

I’ve got so many WIPs I wanna finish but I think one that would be the most satisfying for me to finish considering how long I’ve worked on it off and on again is my Billy Kaplan character study - it’s basically a fic detailing the events of all the comics Billy’s been in from Billy’s POV, so like V1, Civil War, Secret Invasion, all the YA presents, even Dark Reign even though I hate Dark Reign, and would likely go up until like WWR now or even the latest Pride special, also it’d fill in gaps and be filled with HCs mostly likely lol

8. There’s no fic attached for me to include a part of so I’ll just include this snippet of a fic I absolutely love and one day hope to actually finish
