David Tennant in a working, Rated List (With Fanfiction for Each)

So, I've made a list of everything David Tennant is in. And I shall be working through the episodes of each of his shows, and I shall be writing a fanfiction of each of these, and give them a rating. This is for fun, as for some reason this is what I find fun, and I am going to be strict about the fan fiction (no RPF, no NSFW, and each fan fiction has to be related to the show/radio program, etc.). The list so far, is as follows:

Layout is date - 'role' in 'show' (link) - rating/detailed post (if available) - Fanfiction

1987 (exact date unknown) - Jim in Glasweigan Anti Smoking PSA - 2/10 - No Fanfiction for this, as it is literally a PSA.

8 August 1988 - Neil McDonald in Dramarama - 4/10 - A Special Kind of Madness

11 April 1989 - Third Squaddie in the Play on One - 2/10 - unfortunately, also not enough material to do a fan fiction for.

10 May 1992 - Archie the Hiker in Strathblair - 3/10 - Milk

1 July 1992 - Policeman in Bunch of Five - 3/10

1993 (Exact Date Unknown) - Vinny in short film Spaces - Unable to give review, as the library of Scotland is reluctant to help (But if you want to try your hand at it, by all means :)

And..that's everything I've done up until this point. The full list is available on wikipedia (or I can give you my online copy on request - as I'm constantly updating mine, it's better to not post it I've found), I shall post each new rating on my Tumblr, from this point, starting with Strathblair (this is how I'm going to track my own progress on this, and feel accomplishment as I make my way through.)

David Tennant in 'The Play on One' : Biting the Hands

So, this one was a difficult find, so it is slightly out of order in terms of when I am publishing it, it was recently (like, literally a few weeks ago) uploaded to the internet archive (here if you want to watch). He is in a few seconds of episode, so, again, not enough for a fanfiction, but was enough for me to rate it. It was a decent performance, but it was as a kind of sexist army guy...which...not my cup of tea...so...I rate a 2/10, due to that and the fact that he did not get as much screen time as I like for him.

(An update on my next review: due to the library of Scotland, it will not be 'Spaces'....Unless they decide to send me a copy...which I am growing more and more doubtful as it spans the months..)

"i'd rather be fighting you anyway" "mutual" isnt QUITE in the continuum of spuffy marriage moments but it is in the sense that it represents the ouroboros of their relationship that once they enter into knowing each other they are always already loving and losing each other forever the moment they meet in school hard fighting to the not-death they are already clasping hands in chosen full of love as he burns to ash for her. do u understand. anyway whats my line is like. spike's whole deal for his WHOLE LIFE is that he is obsessed with slayers he wants slayers all day every day meanwhile he finds out there are now TWO OF THEM. there's TWO. and he doesnt even ask any questions. this man is a slayerologist and he is presented with the impossible extstence of kendra and he's still like wait ok but i miss buffy where is she. i wanna fight her please. he does this same thing with faith in s7 like they are buds but he doesnt express any urge to like, mystically fight to the death with her or anything. like the teleology of spike's slayer obsession is then coded to actually just be about buffy the whole time. william the bloody gets obsessed with slayers in the 1880s bc buffy summers doesnt exist yet, but she one day will, so he has to get as close to her as possible. in a sense every slayer he kills gets him one step closer to buffy existing so she can kill him. DO YOU SEE. how i am losing my mind.

Ok, so, this one was interesting. The show in and of itself was ok, it was a little silly but I overall didn't mind it, made much more sense to me than strathblair, however, David Tennant's role as policeman lasted maybe 20 seconds, definitely not enough time to make a fic out of, I try my best but I would really struggle with that, and tbh I don't think it would be great if I did, and I am a perfectionist with these things. Overall I give this show a 3/10, the same as strathblair, as, whilst he did not do as much, he had more words and did a good job, though the casting was not a fit (he was way too smol!). If you'd like to watch it, I found a 3 part YouTube video, with the whole episode, but Tennant only appears in part 2.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding of things...

David Tennant: wears a shirt and publicly says trans kids have the right to exist. Otherwise continues to just do his thing as a beloved British actor with no social media.

The UK Right: has an absolute fit, tries to call him a pedo, but it backfires and gets one of their own fired

David Tennant: wears pride pins in public venues and is supportive of his kid. Otherwise continues to do his thing and has a massive year as a beloved British actor with no social media.

LGBT Britain: give him an ally award for... Not stopping being a good dad and wearing pins while on TV.

David Tennant: accepts award with grace and humility and understanding that the bar for allyship is in the floor, and says he wishes a right wing politician would shut up (presumably about trans people).

Rishi Sunak and the Tories: tries to go after DT for impinging on freedom of speech.

When the Tories go down in flames, can we credit DT? Just a little bit? For lolz?

David Tennant in Strathblair

So, I watched David Tennant in Strathblair as a part of my list . I was...ok with it. There were 4 scenes with Tennant in them, and it was difficult to watch honestly, due to the quality, but that's I guess my fault seeing as I'm the person who decided to watch it. His performance is good, as always, but also there's just not enough to really warrant anything other than a 3/10. He didn't feature prominently, there were maybe 2 lines he spoke, and, after dramarama, which he had a way more prominent role, I expect more...although maybe that's me judging him by standards he just could not achieve. And maybe also the directors...but hey, he did great with what he could, and I made a fic to match it. It's based on him and his 'friend' who hike together (and I made them gay because of course they are). If you do want to watch strathblair with Tennant, it is here, although do bear in mind he appears 4 times, and after that, it's a little iffy on plot (to me at least as I don't really understand the premise of the show).

I also did a fanfiction for this section, and it is called Milk, it is more of a Drabble (although not under 100 words so...) and is a little snapshot of Archie and his boyfriend's long hikes together. It's short, and hopefully sweet! I hope you enjoy.

can we just talk about how Ethan Rayne is the best recurring buffy villain. He's goofy but competent.hes evil bjt also warns Giles about the initiative. He's blatantly bisexual and is the perfect foil to Giles. He stands like that. Why didn't they use him more? Every single episode he is in is so memorable. If they ever did a Bufgy reboot (booo) I want Ethan Rayne to be one of the main villains.
