"Did you hear about the werewolf roaming around this town on Halloween night?"
Jesse paused as he slurped up a bunch of quick raman noodles to look at her. He sucked them up and swallowed hard before shaking his head. “UH…no…?”

“Careful what you wish for, Sick’em.” Jesse said before sighing and getting things ready for an evening away from home and try to find someplace safe for the moon.
Jesse left early after checking the moon-calendar. He would have a few hours head start from Sick’em to find a safe place to shift and hide until the moon set. It was going to be a rough evening.
She had taken hours to prepare, setting up various traps around the town she was hiding out in that would be able to capture any wandering person of various heights and strengths, knowing the thing would be a challenge if it got hurt. She honestly didn’t need the help, Sick’em just wanted Jesse there in case things went more south than she anticipated…
Sitting behind a bush next to her biggest trap, she waited for sunset to kick in, unfazed by the lack of seeing Jesse after lunch earlier.
Jesse felt so itchy! Ugh before the moon it was the worst. It never mattered if he shifted before the moon or not. It was horrid! He paced the building and pulled off his clothes. He couldn’t stand it anymore. Sure shifting wouldn’t help but it would at least keep it from getting worse.
He pulled his prosthetic out and, when finally in the buff, shifted into his full form, giving a howl before slamming a paw over his muzzle in aggravation. Damn it was hard to resist a howl!
Sick’em waited by the trap for a few hours, watching the moon rise before hearing footsteps that were in the pattern of four legs on one creature instead of two. She grinned as she sat up, excited to finally meet and potentially fight the creature.
