URGENT: STRAIGHT MALE ALLIES NEEDED TO SHUT DOWN LEGAL RAPE “INTERNATIONAL MEETING”
This coming Saturday, February 6, at 8pm local time, followers of “Roosh V”- noted sexist, racist, homophobic, and overall horrible monster (not a human being)- will be holding secret meetings to rally for rape to be legalized. You didn’t read this wrong THEY WANT RAPE TO BE LEGALIZED.
This shit is dangerous af, and as they have barred anyone who isn’t male or straight, so we need all our white male allies to gather and shut this shit down. If you are a straight man of colour, please be careful. Even though the website says the meeting is for straight men of all races, the Roosh V following has also been known to be very racist and xenophobic.
Here is how the meeting will take place, as according to their website (I’m not going to link it because it does not deserve any hits, but all the info here is authentic- you may google and see for yourself):
We will have 165 meetings in 43 countries for our international meetup day on February 6, 2016 at 8PM local time. Hosts have been instructed to wait at the meeting point from 8:00-8:20pm before moving on to the final location. If you arrive at the meeting point at 8:21pm, you will miss the meetup. Arriving on time within the window is absolutely paramount.
To identify your fellow tribesmen, ask the following question to a man you suspect is there for the meetup: “Do you know where I can find a pet shop?” If you are asked this question, answer in the affirmative: “Yes, it’s right here.” You can then introduce yourself and get details about where to proceed at 8:20. If you ask someone for the pet shop and they appear confused or actually try to direct you to a real pet shop, they’re not there for the meetup.
If you are a woman, DO NOT GO, your safety is at risk. Roosh V has made it very apparent that your presence might be met with violence.
I won’t be able to attend a shut down (obvs- brown gay turban guy), but we need to shut this down ASAP. So to all my white brothers who identify as allies, now is your time to stand up and act.
I will be calling the RCMP and reporting this, make sure you report this to your local police as well.

I haven’t posted anything in months, but I guess it’s time to start that up again.

I got my belly button pierced about a month ago.
When he was piercing it, oddly, I didn’t feel a thing; but the week right after was a fucktrain. It was so uncomfortable and it hurt so badly that I contemplated ripping it off some nights. I felt it everywhere I went. When I sat down, when I stood up, I felt that foreign object. I felt my body trying to heal from this wound and I thought, “God, I did this to myself.”
The next week was a little bit better. I kept looking at it; lifting my shirt carefully and trying not to touch the jeweled pieces. I was so careful not to touch it, and I felt hyper-aware of its existence. I couldn’t sleep on my stomach or sleep in just a bra. I couldn’t wear high-waisted shorts or wear clothing that was too tight. I was obsessed with the cleaning process, because I didn’t want the wound to get infected.
The third week, somehow, was different.
It didn’t hurt anymore. I remembered it only because I cleaned it often, and only when I hit it accidentally with my hand. The thing was, I didn’t go out of my way to try to irritate it. But laying on my stomach didn’t sound quite as daunting, and neither did wearing high skirts or leggings.
What I’m writing about today is not poetic.
It’s a jumbled up instance in my life that reminded me--fast forwarded, of course-- about my time with you. About getting over pain I had given myself because I knew what you could do and I did it anyway.
Sometimes a catharsis isn’t “...breaking my bones so the splinters could foster your flowers.” Sometimes it’s not loud. Sometimes it’s not beautiful.
Change, quite commonly, is an ugly process we glorify to make a little easier. But it isn’t easy; if it were, the result would not nearly be as coveted.
I like my piercing now. I still can’t swim at the beach or anything, but I’m past the whole ‘regretting my decision’. Perhaps I will again when I’m old and I forget, but I hope I read this and remember. I hope I read this and feel pretty once more, and reminisce about the way I had loved you. It hurt so badly, but I’m glad I did it. I’m glad it hurt. It made it precious. It made it worth it.

I work at Boston Market and hands down my favorite type of snarky person is the one who gives me attitude for the bruise on a wedge of new potato. Because they’re like “Um. I’m not eating that I don’t want it on my plate, don’t touch that piece.” And the sassy part of me wants to scream into a gravy ladle “BUT YOU LICKED ASS?!?!?!?”
My second favorite are either the ones who ask for special favours and then get really really rude when you can’t follow through, like this one lady who wanted one rack of rib with her family meal then got mad at me when she had to pay the equivalent of two (like ma’am, this machine doesn’t DO what you’re asking). Or the ones who comes for free stuff like this one lady who went through drive through two minutes before we closed and demanded a family for six for free because last time, we didn’t give her enough sauce so her dinner was ruined. Except she didn’t have a coupon. And she couldn’t remember the name of the person she talked to. And no one wrote her name down or remembered her.
