ok, so as one could likely already tell by my url/username, i am not exactly the most mentally stable person out there (one cannot just simply park their horses within my head) one of the very few tings that has kept me going has been the fact that i might just, maybe, be able to get onto hrt within my,... idk, lifetime with the fact that obtaining this via ""normal"" means isnt exactly an option that i have, i did a lot of research on the possibility of diy and found one of the very few remaining places that are both (mostly) trustworthy and also still operational all i had to do from there was wait just a little bit before i can actually make a purchase and... so anyways they just shut down due to reasons unstated (side eyes, everything in the usa rn) so, uh, im just going to be over here and being perfectly ok, and reasonable about this you know, maybe just go to sleep for a little bit and maybe, itll all. be. ok. (dont worry, im not actually feeling that terrible about this right now, ill be fine)
Never underestimate the power of doing just a little more research (^ just checked to see if other sources exist after thinking there werent and found out how truly indomitable and unstoppable the human spirit is)

Even as a trans woman who considers themself to be lesbian (and also asexual), this has never quite felt right to me. There are many different things I could possibly go into about why I feel that is but, to say the very least of it, it feels as though it continues to perpetuate and enforce the nonexistent boundaries between genders, stereotyping an entire mass of people together based off of their circumstances at birth (the """sex organs""") and how that has come to effect the way in which they were raised and the expectations set upon them, ones gender, sexual, and/or romantic identity/identities/preferences and their place in the binary (while also often not separating those three things despite their major differences), all while degrading the current hierarchy while wishing for a practically identical one in its place instead With all of these things, on top many, many others, being things that I am still personally attempting to cope, deal, and/or unlearn from within myself, regardless of what I have considered my identities to be at any given time, it has also always just hit a bit off

I finally got around to playing "one night, hot springs" after being a bit too afraid of playing it for a few months after getting it and, oh my god, that game had me crying on multiple occasions I love it so much
sooooooo, I might have gone back and 100%'ed the game
(which I honestly didn't even mean to do, I just wanted to see the rest of the possible character interactions but the absolute last thing I wanted to do was ruin this poor girls day but still managed to accidentally mess it up in one instance and I still feel bad for it)

So I tried extracting a song from my minecraft game files and found out that all I needed to do was search for it in the latest sounds database in the files, search for the file, and then edit the name of it to include ".ogg" at the end but I didn't know that the quality would remain compressed so now I just have a heavily compressed version of the song sitting somewhere in the files that is unable to play stereo and is instead permanently stuck on mono and I can't undo the change and, like, wtf am I suppose to do with this thing
Ok, so, turns out I was just being an idiot. The file that I attempted to extract came out as compressed as it did with no stereo audio because the first one I attempted to extract was the file for a music disk (which are referred to as "records" in the index) After testing it with the actually game music that plays at random (unless you change the frequency at which it plays), I found that it is the same quality as can be found via official online releases Thinking about it further, I realize too that it makes complete sense for the music disk audio makes complete sense both game lore-wise and metatextually as, from the perspective of coding, it wouldn't be the most practical, or really, possible to have stereo sound from a single origin and, due to the player not being directly inside of the jukebox and also likely having other in-game sounds playing, impractical to have the files require as much space as an uncompressed version. Lore-wise too, it doesn't make too much sense that a handmade jukebox that has the diamond tip of one of the first audio recording and replaying devices ever made to be able to play back full quality stereo audio from a centuries of vinyl record that was kept in mostly unregulated conditions. In other words, Im an idiot. But at least it didn't take me too long to try testing it again and to then figure out what was the problem
