What're your thoughts on the other nursefathers? Which one do you think would be the best material for art?
Oh, my dear colleagues! Their tastes are, by in large, quite unsophisticated. They have absolutely no tastes for art at all, which is disappointing. They refuse to engage with my works at anything beyond the most basic level...
Beyond that, I am admittedly fond of them as companions. They are rowdy, and eccentric, and have numerous glaring personality flaws, yet we have cohabited together for very long. Many of them would like to deny it, but there is a definite camaraderie between us all!
I will address them in order of how suitable they would be as art:
Rien. He is quite the intriguing subject. He is the one who I have the most insight into, and thus the one I have the most ideas on transforming. That personal touch is irreplaceable. This is quite paradoxical--as a person, he is a hollow and empty shell. His personality, his appearance, and even his name have all been systemically removed and replaced. In reality, he is nothing but a living shrine to his God. Unfortunately, even if I were given the opportunity to use him, I dare not modify another artist's work without their say-so. It is in poor taste.
Yoru. Our dear departed Shiomi! I would love to immortalize her in art. Unfortunately, Rien has done away with the corpus. She is the most tragic of us. Imprisoned here, forced to bear young Yoshihide, and left to wither in order to nourish the very thing that cursed her. The resentment of that had completely consumed her. Of course, she had due cause to resent the rest of us as well, and had always held us at arm's length. The House of Spiders began with her, and is not quite the same without her. Isn't her story so moving? I have many thoughts on how it would translate to sculpture...
Matthias. The sheer quality of his corpus would make him a fine material, and the tattoos add an interesting visual element to the flesh. As a person, he is quite materialistic. He has no regard for true artistry, instead preferring his empty and meaningless toys... His view of the world is undeniably shallow, and any bond with him will also be shallow. If one can accept this, then he can be a lively friend.
Valencina. I think using her as material would be a suitable revenge for all the artwork she's endangered in her drunken rampages... She often scorns my art. It is, sadly, the most engagement they get from the other nursefathers--but even then her complaints are all surface level and banal. On occasion, she has something intriguing to say. She has the most unpleasant personality of the nursefathers--quite inflammatory. If nothing else, she can be interesting to observe.
Araya. She has been here the shortest, and remains distant from us. She has long existed on a plane no one can quite reach. Unfortunately, it means I lack the insight to properly plan any piece around her. For now, she still has a role to play--to bring back our dear Yoshihide. Is that not already a Corporism piece, suspended in eternal agony, waiting to act out her part in our play?
