Three scientists were inside one of the laboratories in a high-tech research facility. They were all researching and experimenting with inter-dimensional traveling via portal, using a single dog as a test subject. The scientists had been working on the project for decades, and they had exhausted almost every way that they could imagine in order to make the portal a reality. They had all but given up. It was the last day of research when they had finally done it: They had ultimately created the world's first working inter-dimensional portal known to man. They were overjoyed. Even the dog seemed happy about it - though, unbeknownst or not, it was about to be the first live being transported in such a way. When the final preparations were ready, the scientists positioned the dog in front of the portal, stepped back, and then waited patiently for it to happen. Then, in an instant, and in a reality-warping curl of lights, the dog had vanished. As the three scientists cautiously moved in closer to see the end result, one of them accidentally tripped and fell into the portal as well. At first, the other two scientists were frantic and worried about their colleague, but when they saw him clearly on the other side of the portal with the dog, they were relieved. One of the two remaining scientists turned to the other and excitedly whispered, "Steve! Do you know what this means??" "Yes," Steve nodded. "Blue skadooed," then he leaned in closer, "and we can, too."
