4.speaking of “ ready to do anything for a person who accepts him”, it’s unfortunately very common theme for young queer folk and why they are very often get trapped in exploitative and abusive situations. you get recruited into fatui if you already hate yourself and think no one else will take u

7. the whole puppet thing is actually really good allegory tho, bc it includes both othering, a theme of being a “fake”, “artificial” human AND dissociation with your own body. AND the deeper layer of him saying he knows he’ll only be accepted as long as he’s useful and “can take more than humans”, which like. ooof. if you’ve in a queer community, you know that’s sadly a real mindset of many trans folks who will let ppl treat them horribly for the promise of acceptance
