There is a new interview with Mario ^^
What I could make out of it:
First, he was asked about his name. He said as a kid he misunderstood and thought his fatherās name was his own name. It took him a while to realise āKuroba Marioā is his name. Itās difficult to write and read it, and even now his first name is often mistaken as āMaruoā.
He was asked if heās thinking of himself as a prince (as heās often called The Prince of 2.5D), but he said he doesnāt feel like being a prince.
He was asked whatās his woman type. He said itās a woman who is soft and can express her love as properly as a dog (note: please be aware this sentence is kinda strange and hard to understand, so the translation might not be proper). He added he thinks he can express himself properly. Heās longing for being like love birds. He thinks itās good to see people flirting with each other.
Then the interviewer asked whatās his favourite food. He said actually he likes every kind of carbohydrates. Heās still like a kid if it comes to tastes and he likes a lot his motherās tamagoyaki (omelette), because it has a nostalgic taste for him. He was asked if he cooks for himself and he said when he moved to the capital he cooked, but now he doesnāt. Back then he prepared butadon (pork covered with rice and vegetables) and yakisoba (fired noodles), but now he buys bento.
Then he was asked what he buys at the convenient store and he said he buys coffee. His fridge is full with coffee, water and soy milk. Actually, he has black coffee, but because of his weak stomach and to be more healthy, he adds soy milk to it.
The next question was about if he has any fixed positions in his flat. He said he puts Yogibo (bean bag chair) on the floor. Basically he likes the floor, and despite usually he sleeps in bed, he really would like to sleep on a futon. When they asked what he does on the Yogibo, he said he watches videos even when heās sitting on it, and even when heās at home, heās eating, heās bathing or heās at the toilet until he goes to bed. Recently he got into massage videos, he heals his daily tiredness with them.
Then he was asked if heās a dog type or a cat type, and he said he really likes cats, but he has a cat allergy so heās a dog type. Recently he made a decision and arranged a collar and other goods (to buy for a dog), but finally he resigned and went home. He realised living alone he canāt keep a pet as a pet needs a strong preparedness. Suddenly he started to worry he couldnāt concentrate on his work if he had a pet. Even if there is one thing to be anxious about, itās hopeless. He thinks he gets the same feeling when it comes to marriage.
In the last part he was asked about the drama āKoukoku kaisha, danshi ryou no okazu-kunā. He said he was surprised about it as this is his first starring in a drama. He realised this only during the filming. He added he was blessed with the staff and the other members, thanks to them he was able to be relaxed. He was asked what kind of similarities he has with his character (he plays Okazu-kun), and he said itās the gentle part (of their personalities) whatās similar. He was asked to say something to those who will watch the drama, and he advised either watch it while youāre eating or when youāve already eaten, but donāt watch it with an empty stomach.
Lastly, he was congratulated for his appearance in Kouhaku and he said when he received the news about it he was happier than surprised. He feels honoured to be able to perform together with people who are like his family in the last Kouhaku of the Heisei era and heās really looking forward to it.
