HAPPY JUNETEENTH TO MY BLACK WRITERS ONLYYY ᥫ᭡.
JUSTICE FOR TONEA MILLER!
a couple articles that give more details. the tl;dr is yes it is only because of social media that a single reporter put the effort in to investigate Tonea's death, and get any coverage on it. the police had simply ruled it a suicide. Tonea's sister firmly refutes this assertion. she also clarified that Tonea was not in Miami for Juneteenth but has been living there for quite a while now. she also doesn't agree with the online discourse that assumes tonea's death is related to race. her family is pursuing an independent autopsy now.

I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF
This potato works. Every. Fucking. Time.
Reblogging because it’s a damn potato and I want to encourage people to assume potatoes are magical.
MAGIC POTATO GO!🥔
okay so law of assumption works. i've seen it, i've lived it, and TODAY the universe decided to send the confirmation in the form of a golden potato and honestly? most divine thing that's ever happened to me.
because think about it. what is this potato doing? it's just BEING golden. it's not stressing. it's not checking the 3D. it's not asking "but what if the good news doesn't come." it just EXISTS in its golden era fully and completely and the good news is already on the way. this potato is literally a neville goddard student and it doesn't even know it.
and now it's on your screen. that's not a coincidence. u attracted this potato. the potato is a sign. the potato is the universe winking at u going "yes dear it's working."
so we reblog. we assume. we receive. we thank the potato later.
i don't make the rules i just trust the process and apparently also the produce. 🥔✨
Reblogging the golden potatoe because manifestation works in the dumbest of ways too 😉
Reblogging carbs to shift!!!
Potato get whoever comes across this post to finally be aware in the void state and manifest all their desires.
MAGIC POTATO
if you don't do anything else today,
Please have a moment of silence for the people who were killed instead of freed when news of emancipation finally reached the furthest corners of the american south.
have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.
and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.
black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.
if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
This is Juneteenth.
white people CAN interact with this post. share it, spread it.
happy Juneteenth to black fans in fandom specifically 🫶🏿 love yall
Shout out to mediocre black people actually. Shout out to black people who are bad at shit. You don’t need to be the best for your life to matter.
so you can shoot a black child in the back as he's running away and get away with it with zero consequences, but god forbid a black child defend himself, because that'll land him thirty-five fucking years in jail—which is basically a life sentence. half of his life will be over when his sentence is up. all the fake talk of progress in this country has just been a way to silence black people for speaking out against the countless horrific injustices we're forced to experience, from microagressions to outright murder. you literally cannot go a day without hearing about another black person falling victim to systemic racism and then having to listen to people justify why they deserved it. and we're supposed to hold no animosity whatsoever as we grin and bear it.
The murder of 14 y/o’s Cyrus Carmack Belton teaches that the system of racism is alive and kicking. Black people’s suffering is just a side note for most; black people’s activism is an aggression. When people started talking about Black Lives Matter movement, people ridiculed it, they called it woke, loud, exaggerated, and some people even sported t-shirts with the words “White Lives Matter” printed on them. They did not want to see that historically , socially, structurally, black lives have not been as protected as white lives. And they don’t care. While the country never ceased to be hostile to its black citizens, it would be ignorant not to notice how this hostility has been growing and growing in the last two years. People will prize more four bottles of water than were never stolen in the first place than the life of a black child. Shameful
