How are things Michael? Anything new going on?

Things are very different. We’re still living in Denver, but have all been pre approved for a home loan, which is exciting. We definitely need an actual house. Four adults and an almost 8 year old child, doesn’t exactly scream “apartment living”.

I’m also really focused on my clothing brand, and looking at renting a store in the city. I still manage Village Inn but I’m looking at resigning soon to focus more on my dream.

Pete is head chef now, which I’m so incredibly proud of.

Henrietta co owns a tattoo studio across the street from our apartment with a friend she made in art school.

Firkle is still studying aviation, but isn’t far from graduating.

Oh, and Pete and I are expecting a daughter in August. Yes, we decided to go for it, and Henrietta has graciously lended us her womb and egg. This is definitely going to be a huge change for all of us. When we adopted Oliver, he was almost 3. I fostered him from 1, and never got to experience the whole “newborn” thing. So, it should be interesting for sure.

Do you still use this blog?

Yes, I login from time to time, but I suppose the hype has died down as I don’t receive as many asks as I used to when I first began. I suspect also, now that I’m an adult, living an adult life, people don’t find me as interesting.

I think it’s pretty amazing that you and Pete adopted your little cousin! My question is, have you guys ever considered adopting again? Or even fostering? Considering you were abused by your dad, and Pete grew up in poverty, you two could really help a child in need, who suffered like you two did, by doing so!

We’ve never even discussed something like that. I suppose fostering is something I wouldn’t mind doing once I’m older. Our lives are way too busy to commit to something like that right now.

Having a child is a lot of responsibility, but fostering a child takes a lot more time. You have to be willing to give a lot of your life to those kids, and right now, we just wouldn’t make good candidates for fostering.

I also have to take into consideration that taking in a child who’s been abused could possibly be a tremendous trigger for me. I can’t even raise my voice to Oliver without feeling physically sick! I would have to be emotionally ready to do something that could potentially be emotionally challenging. I can only assume the same would go for Pete, too.

You’ve given us something to think about for the future, though.

Very much so. I’ve always felt like I was destined for a time such as the 1890s or even the 1920s.

Absolutely not. Even if I were to leave Pete for any reason, not that I plan on ever doing so, I would never be with Henrietta. She’s like my little sister! I feel like I’ve already mentioned this several times.

Whats the worst thing you’ve ever tasted? I dunno, I really wanna ask you something but can’t think of anything lol

I’m not really put off food by taste alone. It’s both texture AND taste. I’ve never liked risotto. The sheer sight of it makes me gag. I have attempted to eat a risotto Pete made, and I don’t question that it was delicious because everyone devoured it. But I began dry retching the moment it was in front of me, and I just couldn’t do it.

It’s just the dish itself. It’s awful, and I hate the stuff. You just couldn’t get me to eat it. There’s no way.

I know you’ve left South Park, and you say you hate that town, but is there a part of you that has any feelings for it in a good way? Take a look at a picture of the town or something and don’t tell me you don’t feel something good? It’s your childhood town!

In some ways, you’re right. I do look at pictures of South Park, like the one below, and some pretty incredible memories flood my mind. I remember things like camping under the stars by the Cemetery. Watching the sunrise over the mountains everyday with my friends. Breaking into cars just to steal cigarettes. Smelling the fresh air that only small towns tend to have.

I mean, South Park was where I had my first kiss. Where I lost my virginity. Where I fell in love... It’s always going to be something to me.

But those good memories, they just don’t outweigh the bad, and that’s something that’s made me bitter towards the town.

By itself, without all the crap, South Park is beautiful. And perhaps one day, my friends and I will find some other small town somewhere that gives us that bit of peace and quiet back, because we sure do miss it.

Just not South Park. Never South Park....

How many pieces of jewellery do you wear?

Ah, about 9? It used to be way more but I no longer wear any facial piercings. Sometimes I don’t wear my four other rings, and I just wear my wedding ring.

Most of the time, though, it’s around 9.

I was desperate for a coffee, and the closest place to where I was, was freakin’ Starbucks. I hate to admit it, but their coffee is amazing. I hate myself.

They’re fine. Been pretty busy over the summer.

Another year passes, and so many more to come. Happy 4th birthday to our son, Oliver. I still can’t believe we now throw birthday parties and interact with other parents. Ten years ago we would of laughed at the thought of ever doing such things. I’d like to thank my Father-In-Law for lending us his backyard for the party. Our apartment just isn’t big enough. Happy Birthday, Oliver. I love you. @whothefnh

On June 1st, at 11am, I became an offical High School Graduate.

The ceremony took place in Denver, and all those who studied with the Colorado Preparatory Academy, (an online high school for those who wish to get ahead), attended.

I am the first person in my family who now holds a High School Diploma.

I’m going to enjoy my Summer, and can’t wait to start My Bacholer’s Degree in ‘Aerospace Science with a concentration as a Flight Officer’, at the Metropolitan State University Of Denver.

(They work with American Airlines, so here’s hoping I end up flying for them)

You were slipping, and feeling really shitty about yourself and your future, but you certainly showed the world.

Not only did you graduate early, but you managed to raise your grades in a matter of months after starting online education, and you graduated with honors.

It’s no wonder you got accepted into University with ease.

Hey Michael (It's very odd saying that since that's also my name), I love your blog! I just started following you, and you seem pretty fucking great. ((As for the admin, you're doing fantastic at role-playing him! I don't roleplay myself, but watching others doing it is quite nice. Keep doing what you're doing, it brightens up so many people's days!))

Yes, Michael is such a popular name. So much so that I have considered changing it to something a little more unique. I won’t though, I can only imagine how confusing it must be to get used to an entirely different name.

Any advice for someone who wants to come out but is too scared?

It took a long time for me to come out, too. Before you can, you must ask yourself “do I accept it?”

I had a lot of difficulty accepting my sexuality, and so for the longest time I was just in denial.

If you do accept yourself, ask yourself why you’re afraid. Is it how certain people will react? Is it fear of change? There’s so many reasons as to why someone can remain in the closet.

I don’t have any “advice”, but I can tell you this:

“If you live for people’s acceptance; you will die from their rejection.”
