So at Fantine’s arrest, Javert(Jeremy) would be standing off to the side, glancing at Fantine, then at Jean Valjean, then back at Fantine, then Valjean again. When Valjean turns to look at him, he'd snap to attention, kicking his left foot against his right like he’s just been caught slacking. It's just so cute *aggressively put his head in my mouth

Just saw a post on here about a guy commenting on I think one of Tom McKays live stream about clicking the heart option every time it came up when talking with Hans thinking it was a friendship thing instead of ''flirting'' and not realizing it until the very end of the game what he was doing.
Which I thought was interesting because he's right, it wasn't flirting at all right and yet all of us here caught it immediately. It was Henry saying how much he cares about Hans and what they're going through. Saying Hans is the closest person he has, how Henry would never let anything bad happen to him, how he misses spending time with just him, how they're together not only because of duty but because Henry wants to be there with him. Not one innuendo, not anything risque, nothing even overly romantic. Just a genuine, simple display of affection between two people, Two people who probably didn't even fully realize what they were admitting to each other and themselves
As opposed to what I assume a lot of men playing this game think of as intimacy and the signifiers of a romance which is blatant flirting, akin to what Katherine and Rosa get in terms of romance. With them it's incredibly obvious what both Henry and them are implying to each other making it all very superficial and in the end not very rewarding (in my opinion of course). And this method worked mind you, if you go into other places outside of tumblr the male player base is veryyyy weird about Katherine and especially Rosa. It's all very ''boy meets girls, boy and girl have one deep conversation, boy and girl have sex, the end'' and nothing more is really needed to fulfill that sort of quota of a ''satisfying heterosexual relationship". They often also tied them down to that ''homey'' life of ''get married, have children, live happily ever after'' something both of these women expressed they don't even want.
And on the one hand it's like, yeah, a lot of men don't engage in romance and when they do the it's exactly what you expect it to be.
But on the other, it's sad to think that all of them will miss out on what is genuinely one of the most touching romances I've seen in a game.
All because they can't stomach seeing two men together.
Heteronormativity never ceases to be so very stupid.
