I'm the AU Collector! Call me Collector. My pronouns are she/her and I'm in my twenties. On this blog you can find a lot of Linked Universe, Kingdom Hearts, Tales of the Abyss, and an assortment of other fandoms I might step into for a quick second. As my name suggests, I love AUs! I love making them, talking about them, reading them! I also love OCs!

Linked Universe:
Relinked AU (#relinked AU) : 23 years after Linked Universe, the Links' kids are forced on a journey of their own. The Links are quick to try to find them though. Hopefully this will be a comic, but don't be surprised if it ends up as a fic.
Reconnect the Chain AU (#reconnect the chain AU) : AU of Relinked. 10 years after LU, the Chain reconnects themselves. Good vibes and slice-of-life. Most pre-reunion things will be tagged as both this AU and Relinked depending on everyone's ages in the artwork/writing.
LU College Radio AU (#college radio AU): A mostly slice-of-life AU where the Links are all somehow involved with the radio station at Kakariko University.
Cupcakes for Harmony (#cupcakes for harmony): Legend and Marin had a daughter on Koholint. Currently has 2 parts posted on AO3, aiming for 3 - 4 parts total.
Cost of Courage AU (#cost of courage au #epic AU): A crossover between Epic the Musical and Linked Universe that is yet another LU Links Reunite AU. Each song from the musical inspires a scenario in my head. I won't be doing much with it, though, until the entire musical is released so I can see what I'm working with.
Ultimate Chain AU (#ultimate chain AU): I feel like my AO3 description describes it best: I add way too many Links into Linked Universe because these characters are my dolls and this is my dollhouse. AKA, I decide to add more Links into LU because I can and because I want to see how the Links would interact with heroes like the Hero of the Kingdom, the Ancient Hero, the Hero of Spirits, and Shadow.
Lockwood and Co Fusion: (#lockwood and co fusion): I put the characters of LU into the world of the books and netflix show by Jonathan Stroud, Lockwood and Co. Sketches and fics. As of right now, I'm mostly going to be rewriting scenes from the books but with the LU Links
Time is Batman AU (#time is batman AU): Time is not batman, but he is a vigilante like Batman called The Mask. He protects Termina City and fights crime. Oh, and he somehow ends up the father of 7 boys who all share the same name as him.

Tales of the Abyss
Tears of Luna (#tears of luna): A sequel fic centered around 6 new and returning protagonists. While the Score has been cast off, that doesnāt mean everything is over. Auldrant still has a long way to go until true freedom, and there are those who still plea for the Scoreās song to guide them. And the Unscored still must fight to even exist. So when the beggars decide to revive the Score, it is up to the Unscored to fight for their right to live. Current WIP, some art may be posted soon.
Asch Joins the Jade Gang AU (title TBD): an WIP of mine where Asch joins Lukeās group permanently.
Tales of Arise
300 Years (#300 Years AU): a series expanding on the characters and the world of Tales of Arise, eventually culminating in my sequel fic. Nothing currently posted yet, but multiple fics are clogging the brain rn.

i hate how much ai has taken the joy out of seeing something cool. you used to see something cool, like a really intricate drawing or a video of someone doing an insane skill or two animals doing something cute, and because there were no mental gymnastics involved in discerning whether or not it was 'real' you could sit there and have the joy of like, "wow! how did they do that! how cool is it that they made that! what a wonderful moment to have captured!" and now every time i see something remarkable i hate that i have to sit there and be like okay let me go frame by frame to make sure everything lines up. let me double check the page this comes from. let me scroll through the comments to make sure no one called out something i missed. like i want the joy of being able to trust someone else's creation back, please

Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.
Headcanon: if/when Data-Sora can begin controlling his own appearance (cause like he has to get admin privileges to the journal eventually) he makes it so that heās 1 inch taller than Data-Riku.
Heterosexual relationship culture is so alien to me and I donāt know if itās the fact Iām not cishet or the fact Iām autistic but I hear so many things that make me go āAm I insane or are they?ā
Thereās a lot of hate on widowers and I saw a woman say āYou cannot compete with a dead woman.ā which is perhaps a reasonable statement to say if heās constantly comparing you to his dead partner but that wasnāt what the post was about. And I realized āOh my God, these people genuinely feel like theyāre constantly in competition with their spouseās exes and the ex being dead makes them feel insecure that they cannot best her.ā
Thereās also been an uptick in the āmen and women cannot be ājustā friendsā rhetoric which I feel like is extremely dangerous and reflects the rise of fascism and sexism. Some of these stories of women feeling threatened by their husbandās female best friend have some merit and others are like āI feel angry that my husband still talks to the girl he grew up next door to and she and her wife are invited to family gatherings and included in family photos sometimes. Am I right to be suspicious?ā No. No youāre not. I cannot imagine being you and living with that high level of stress and paranoia and constant torment and jealousy about your husband having a positive relationship with anyone who isnāt you.
okay look i know this isn't relevant to this post past the second paragraph but. here's the thing. the facts of the case are as follows:
1) I am widowed. my Beloved Wife of Blessed Memory(tm) died in 2019
2) I got together with my current partner about 18 months later
3) when I am committing acts of Foolishness my current partner loves to gesture at the sky to my dead wife, like "do you see this shit, my liege" and regularly says to me things like "[wife's name] was right about this" when my Foolishness inevitably comes back to bite me in the ass
4) this happens. all the time

6) they love to incessantly send me posts
WHICH MEANS:

And! We need cashiers. And convenience stores. And I think it's kind of broken that society says people who want to do stuff like that have "low" ambition (not you OP, I get you're using it illustratively because that's what society labels said jobs) and don't deserve to live at the same standard as people with "high" ambitions.
If we need someone to do a job, that job is a role in the community and deserves not just a salary but cultural respect for the role.
"high" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve domineering and controlling others. "low" ambition jobs are all jobs that involve service to others. Have you noticed? Because I have noticed.
But serving others is actually more needed than controlling them.
