The Augmented Reality Sandbox

The Augmented Reality Sandbox (orginally developed by researchers at UC Davis) lets users sculpt mountains, canyons and rivers, then fill them with water or even create erupting volcanoes. This version of the device at UCLA was built by Gary Glesener using off-the-shelf parts and good ol’ playground sand.

Any shape made in the sandbox is detected by an Xbox Kinect sensor and processed with open source software. It is then projected as a color-coded contour map onto the sand.

Blue diamond represent the first shock of a relative within fluxing out about a LGBT family member - the first person to realize Steven is not pink, (LGBT CASE: NOT STRAIGHT) he’s not who she wanted him to be, you can see the desperation in her eyes to see that she “lost” pink, the desperation of a sibiling losing another

But then she see that is ok, pink is right there, she loves pink : so she love Steven, and will protect him from any prejudice

Blue: REPRESENTATION OF GETTING PAST THE PREJUICE

Yellow represents a figure of someone who isn’t open minded, that’s actually someone who loves the LGBT sibiling (I could see yellow as the uptight - let’s do what’s right - concerned for the safety - sibiling ) but doesn’t want him to go “aginst” the norms, and you can see how that turned out? A fight. Blue defending Steven, but in the end, yellow showed that she was only trying to protect them (in a LGBT scenario, protect from the violence, the prejudice, of probably their parents - in this case : white diamond ) -

(Garnet is literally the personification of what a lesbian relationship is )Steven universe is seriously one of the most well thought shows and it is such a fucking PUNCH in the face that the name of the episode is literally CHANGE YOUR MIND.
