Hello hello once again. This is Indigo and Silver from @th3-n0sta1gic-hiv3 and this is a place for us to discuss our pony existence and stuff. We're 26. Silver's pronouns are he/him Indigo/Vanilla's pronouns are he/they. Silver is an alicorn and Indie is a pegasus. Species terms/nouns/whatever: horse ones, bird ones, whatever we're figuring it out.

Hi I'm Indigo, I'm using my OC Vanilla Extract as my form in headspace, I really connected with it compared to most OCs I've made or tried. Soo yeah with it I'm now a pegasus, a bird pony. I'm also a ball pit pony (BPP), ie my own species I made, but most of my talks will regard being a pegasus.

Hiya I'm Silver, designed this form ourselves. I'm an alicorn (among other things), a bird pony with magic. Sometimes I have wings sometimes I just have a horn, cause I'm cool like that.

sometimes i feel kinda bad about not knowing everything about my theriotypes. i really dont feel the need to scan every wiki page about harbor seals or any articles mentioning them. im definitely more of a visual person. if there was a documentary or a movie with harbors in it im down to consume that kind of content. there just isnt a whole lot of media made of harbor seals compared to leopard seals or grey seals.

Quick thought on the sudden rise in therian talk in news

So today I’ve seen posts on multiple platforms from those living in Latin America saying the news and social media is suddenly discussing therians a lot, in a very negative way.

Something I need y’all to know, based on my experience living as trans for 10 years and being a furry for several as well: DO NOT TALK TO THE MEDIA. You can speak to TRUSTED, preferably independent journalists. Previously center and liberal news media like CNN and the New York Times have taken a steep rightwing shift. Do not go on podcasts, do not talk to tv reporters, etc. It will put you in harms way. You will be taken out of context. They will attack you with premeditated questions to make you look bad, knowing you are not prepared to debate/justify your existence. I repeat,

DO NOT TALK TO THE MEDIA.

Not to mention, in the US at least, it's often discussed in news as a way to discuss trans people in a more "secret" way (think of the old "if we let trans people exist then kids will "transition" into cats and need litter boxes" comments US republicans and conservatives keep saying). So definitely don't talk to the media about it no matter where you are.

So after the dryad discovery I had a bit of a species euphoria moment from a friend. He referred to me as a pony (first time outside of the dnd game where I was playing a pony). Now this friend has only called me a cat before (which resulted in my cat therian complaint post from September) and it kinda took me by surprise as he doesn't really understand this stuff (did call me a cat without understanding, but according to him, and most people really, I'm more cat like than anything).

It could be because I push the pony stuff so often? I get a LOT of pony OCs (other OCs too, but the ponies are what I share most) and also Vanilla is like the face of me usually... idk why he said it given the context but it was definitely an "oh yay species mention!" type moment and I wanted to finally write about it/post it for my records here.

So I figured it out (yea it's been a few days, I don't do things like this "slowly"... my spirit guide(s?) loves me :3 /sarc /hj idk how many there are but I put the s on guide and almost didn't catch it so...idk, but it's a joke mostly, I'm a fuckin pain but they're hear for me. <3)

So to put things simply, I think I'm a dryad, which is a wood nymph, which are considered "lesser deities" apparently. I always saw them as a more on earth type of fae, so learning they're some form of deity explains... a lot.

I've considered whether I'm specifically a normal dryad, a hamadryad, or an alseid, but can't really narrow it down without my plantkin (willow tree funny enough) kinda being a sticking point. my spirit guide also kinda maybe said to stick to dryad as well, but it was hard to be sure, maybe they said to just feel it out still? Honestly I don't mind if I am a "plain" dryad or one of the others (there's technically another type of dryad but idk anything about ash wood so didn't look into it, might later idk) because either way the answer is definitely correct.

It's always weird when a kinfirmation happens, it's almost apathetic in a sense... no melancholic?... a sort of lack of feeling...... ah my cards were correct on their explanation. It's like finally reaching calm waters after being in a storm/river rapids.

I deleted my last update cause I'd re asked my cards the next day and... I was just being stupid with my questions and how I understood the cards. They wanted me to focus on my questions myself (which is fair) and wanted to give me as few answers as possible.

I did also ask my partner to do a reading for me too (they have oracle cards) and...their cards also told me to figure it out myself. Neither set had a negative energy, my cards even reminded me to ask for help/remember this isn't a thing I wholly need to do alone.

For tarot knowers I kept being pushed the ace of cups (and 6 of cups after) and they highlighted with the 3 of pentacles I think it was that I'm not alone. (The pentacles card with 2 people outside a church not going in, i think it was 3...?) I'm still a baby witch so reading tarot has been a slow and clumsy process for me (poor spirit person who helps me, I imagine they've been hitting their head into walls for ages now.. ^^;)
