Ignis prioritizes both elegance and maneuverability, and he carries very little tech and equipment on his person (thats what abelard is for!) All those blue gems covering his armour help him direct and focus his pyromancy so he can self-immolate relatively 'safely'... his retinue learns to give him a wide berth in combat and pack fire-retardent ppe real quick tho
