Newt waited after an answer. He gave to the other many informations and he hoped the Stranger could say him a few thing too. He should know the WICKED too. Maybe he knew a few useful thing. And again Newt wondered how many Maze there was? They met so many teenager in the WICEKD center… Newt frowned at Tut story. “Why aren’t you useful for them?” He asked. He didn’t know what WICKED needed in them. He just understood that Thomas was important for them. “They deleted our all memories except a name, the one they gave to us. They called me Newt.” He nodded slowly. “And I don’t have other memories than the one I won in the Glade.” Newt sighed. “You can come with us, if you want.”

Sighing deeply, Tut simply shrugged at the first question. He didn’t know exactly why that he hadn’t been useful to them, though he could guess it at least. He had a hunch though but he wasn’t going to voice that just yet. Not until he was certain he could truly trust these people. Who was to say they weren’t WICKED in disguise?

“All your memories? That’s cruel ... though I suppose that it’s the same for me. I don’t know who I really am, even though I do have memories, they’re quite impossible to be real.” He spoke softly before looking up at Newt curiously. “It’s nice to meet you Newt, ... and ... if you don’t mind, I’d like to join you. I’m not sure if I’ll be much use but, we’re all running from them aren’t we?”

Newt gave him water. He was studying the other. They should have the same age. The Second in Command frowned when Tut was surprised by the mention of the Maze. He knew there was other Maze, that WICKED did this experimentation on many teenagers. He had no idea how many there was. The other knew thing about WICKED. “Yep. There are many Mazes. I’ve no idea how many.” He answered and he titled a little his head. It was complicated to know where was the Glade exactly. They ran away very fast following Teresa and Thomas and they had no idea where they went. “I have no idea where was the Glade because to be honest we don’t know where we are. We just follow the mountain.” It was all. It was Thomas plan. “WICKED? We escaped them a few days ago.” They were the universal enemy apparently. “How do you escape them?”

Many mazes … So WICKED had stolen other kids and ruined their lives too? He shook his head at the information, hating the fact that they were experimenting on people like that. “I … we were broken out of our maze … but we never got to where they were supposed to be taking us. At least I didn’t … they dumped me out here in the Scorch, saying I was no use to them anymore. That I was as good as dead.” He spoke, shrugging a little as he thought about it. “Did they give you fake memories too? I mean, I use the name Tut, short of Tutankhamun … I remember his life, but … he lived ages ago …”

Newt frowned. Since how long did they leave the Glade and the Maze? He had no idea. It was so long and so short in the same time. He felt like he had not sense of time passing. It was strange. He sighed. “And you survived alone here?” He asked a little surprised. It was a dangerous world with many strange person and Creature. Newt knew he was lucky to have the others Gladers with him. They were stronger together. Newt was watching the other when he took his bottle. Apparently he didn’t have anymore water. “Do you want a little bit of water?” He proposed and he opened his back to present his own bottle to the stranger. They should have the same age. Newt looked back at the building. “We are searching a friend.” Newt shrugged. “We left… a giant maze and we tried to be free and find a safe place somewhere.” It was a good summarize he guessed.

Tut nodded at the question. Of course he’d been surviving on his own, he had nobody to count on, nobody to turn to. Except WICKED and they thought he was cranking up. The heat itself was actually somewhat manageable, if you knew when to travel and when to hide at least, his maze had been out in the Scorch after all. 

“Water sounds heavenly right now to be honest.” He was not one to simply trust others like that, but he was exhausted and his water was up. And who knew how long he’d have to travel before he’d find another source of water? So he accepted the bottle and took a quick sip before nodding at his words. “A maze you say? So there are more than one maze? I was in a maze as well, this group named WICKED controlled it. Where was yours? Mine was here in the Scorch.”
