We should also try to remember that:
the CR cast knew what they were getting into difficulty level wise pre-campaign (they all agreed to it)
that dungeon was balanced with 6 players in mind, not 4 players split 3 ways (idk if you've ever tried to balance a dungeon before but it's difficult and also not easy to do on the fly last second)
while Brennan gave them tough choices, ultimately the players chose to split the way they did
unlucky dice rolls happen, it is what it is
there was a version of this where Teor killed Raimond and booked it out of there, see 4
It's always sad to see a PC die, especially in a world without resurrection magic, but the players knew the danger
They were ambitious to try and cover everything at once instead of cutting their losses and trying again another time
