Ik its bad when people claim that alters are a different race (like a white system claiming a alter is black)

But would it also be bad to 'just' state that said alter is this or that skin color in headspace?

Asking since in headspace alters be looking like.. anything.. (i mean theres fictives of a cookie whos blue so like yk)

i'd use skintone descriptors, not racial terms, if that makes sense. Blackness is an identity that comes with more than appearance (not Black myself, but that's what i've learned from Black studies courses at my uni).

so i'd say "dark-skinned" or something similar. or specify "internally" before a descriptor.

some people in a certain server for a certain large system app are WAY too comfy participating in orientalism and borderline racism for me to feel safe in that space as a system of colour.

i think we as a community need to be more comfy calling people on that. and making safer spaces for non-white systems.

if people feel so safe doing that shit in ur server,,,,, ask urself how you've cultivated that space.

When I say that endogenic systems aren't real, I don't mean that the person isn't real. I know the person who thinks they're endogenic is real. I simply mean that you cannot have a system without being repeatedly traumatized as a child.

the point of trauma-holders is to insure memory fragmentation, not to "deal with trauma".

"Memory fragmentation occurs to protect the brain from the trauma it endures and is the brain’s way of trying to heal." (Kylie Hamacher, 2026.) (feel free to dm me for my source on this if you can't find it!! XD)

some parts might be more tolerant of healing with access to it, but trauma-holders literally develop from the severe trauma that traumagenic systems go through. they develop as a means to shut-off those memories to ensure functional life for the system. watering down trauma-holders to just "oh we remember things" is inherently ableist to systems who have suffered so much.

i personally prefer the term "self recognition" bc a) self diagnosis as a term has a bad rap and b) a diagnosis is a specific tool used for treatment.
