‧₊˚♪ 𝄞₊˚⊹ Hi!
My name's Grave
A quick intro...
By the way its perfectly normal to not know why an alter split. it doesnt make you “mixed origin”. I do not know the exact reason why I split. I know for certain that we are still a pwcdd. that doesnt mean u fall into endo nonsense. dont let them tell you that.
the fact i've known someone who started anti endo then turned 'traumaendo' because she refused to understand this.... (however she now also identifies with willo so.... i actually don't care too much, just an example sorry for random tangent)
it's so important to remember, it keeps you safe from the dangers of endogenic ableism
i have been gaslit and lied to so much by an ex that i'm fully at a point where i don't know if ANYTHING he ever said to me was true
i've been aware of my DID for around 2 1/2 years now.
some things i've learned...
NEVER feel obliged to tell anyone who's fronting unless there's a genuinely good reason/necessity
don't stress about when the last switch was, who exactly is fronting right now or what (if any) role specific alters have
you owe nobody any information on your diagnosis and have nothing to prove
if you're undiagnosed that's not a bad thing, just make sure you stay educated
don't feel the need to log every single switch! this is kinda here twice but it leads to depersonalisation being 10 times worse
just because someone close to you THINKS you've switched... doesn't mean you have!
no matter what you've been through and no matter the trauma that caused your CDD you are seen, heard and you are valid
ETA: please absolutely add on your own stuff!
PLEEEAAAASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
please put flashing lights warnings....
i used to really struggle with sys accountability..
like id apologise collectively and think that was enough, really it's growing and learning and not brushing things off as "[alter] did that im sorry though heres my accountability sorry oopsies but remember it was [alter]"
like... *my body* caused that harm regardless of who was fronting. because when it comes down to it, it doesnt matter who fronted when and who hurt who. *i* hurt someone so *i* have to take accountability REGARDLESS of if i have DID or not.
ik i don't owe anyone my diagnoses. nobody owes anyone that.
i just like to share mine here because i feel like it. not for any virtuous reason just... its who i am :)
endos grooming young systems to think they dont have trauma because they split an alter without major trauma happening right beforehand despite not needing significant trauma to split once youve developed a cdd
refusing to let you process trauma resulting in a strained mental health and extra roadblocks to recovery is dangerous especially in younger people. endos arent harmless. stop saying they are. endo neutral is also ableist
ive never really gone near syscord... is it actually worth it? for reference ive known a lot of stories about how theres a lot of controversy and drama in them all the time... and i dont rlly like the thought of that
ooo far too panicky today im gonna get Stray to make sure we go out cus im really struggling with agoraphobia...
the look of shock when i tell people im intersex like...
buddy u 100% passed intersex people just going down the street u shuld NOT be surprised by someone u know being intersex
Can we normalize that not everything is a new alter?
Maybe you just like that character.
Maybe you just kin this character.
Maybe you're just acting differently on a bad day.
Maybe you're just blurry or blended.
Maybe you just can't tell who's fronting.
I've been mislead before as well. But take your time and don't immediately jump to conclusions please. For your own good.
so like.. i dont really present covert or anything as a system. but i also dont tell anyone unless im very close with them that i have DID
you owe nobody your information!!
im g onna bite them next time i see them >:3
the evil wolf in my must bite them
I feel like a lot of endos don't understand trauma isn't listed in the "requirements" for DID because there's no way to measure trauma and because systems most likely won't remember it if they have just started therapy.
Like yeah, you may not find "did you go through trauma" in your little online quizzes, but that's not how it works
"well but i have alters and i dissociate, but i have no sign of trauma!"
well i have a runny nose and i keep sneezing when i get near flowers, but I have no symptoms of a pollen allergy (/sarc)
also!! its unethical to test for... they can't say definitively without testing
