✨ Glitter in Witchcraft ✨
What kind of ‘glitter witch’ would I be if I didn’t talk about the different ways you could use glitter in witchcraft! This is just a general guide to glitter and it’s more personal ideas than anything.
✨ Glitter’s Basic Use
Glitter looks pretty and is typically used to add a little bit of shine to a spell or charm, but it shouldn’t be limited to just aesthetic appeal. Glitter’s color could be utilized to add an extra kick to whatever you may be working with. As an example, I could add green glitter in a bottle meant to attract wealth or prosperity. Not only would that make it look a little better, but the addition of the color green benefits the spell as well.
✨ Ideas for Glitter Usage
Glitter can, essentially, be used anywhere. These a just a few basic ideas on how to incorporate it into your craft and into your life.
✨ In the Kitchen
There is a such thing as edible glitter! Usually it’s incredibly fine, but you can also find glitter that has bigger flakes and is more noticeable. Always make sure to check that it is edible rather than simply non-toxic though. If you’re going to ingest something, it’s just best to be safe. Putting this kind of glitter in drinks or even foods wouldn’t alter any of the flavors but it would add a sparkly effect. You could always correspond colors as well to add a little bit more magic into what you’re making.
✨ With Glamours
A lot of glamours that I’ve seen involve some sort of beauty product, which is good if you’re looking to incorporate it into a glamour spell. Lots of things of that sort have glitter in them, including eye shadow, body gel, lipsticks, nail polish, and lots of other things. Swapping, say, normal nail polish for glitter nail polish could add a little something extra to the spell, especially if you attach particular associations to it.
✨ In Baths
Bath magic has seemed to be gaining popularity recently as well as bath bombs, melts, etc. Some pre-made bath bombs and melts have glitter already in them, but if you don’t want to go out and buy those, you could also always make your own and add glitter into it if you like, making sure to use the proper kind that is safe. Really, using glitter in baths is as simple as just throwing it in with your spell to add a little extra something special. I’ve got to warn you though, you will most likely be covered in it when you get out (that might not be such a bad thing!).
✨ Other Ideas
I’ve personally used gold glitter to represent a form of ‘light’ before in a spell I made to banish my fear. It worked wonders and I could carry my little ‘light’ with me to wherever it was I happened to be going.
There’s a ‘glitter jar’ project out there that could easily be used with or even as a spell for anxiety, depression, or the like. They’re simple to make and are used as a way to calm. Using these for spells would be useful and they’d be great to have around for a while. (here’s what I mean)
Don’t forget the glitter emoji! Emoji spells are gaining popularity and the emoji is just as good as the real stuff. ✨
Really, the limitations to glitter are the limitations of your imagination. Anywhere you can use it, you can draw in correspondences and utilize it as a legitimate part of witchcraft. And plus, the advantage is that it makes you feel good. Now the disadvantage is that it is everywhere if you’re not careful, but at least it’ll help you exercise caution.
