Souls
There are four main categories used to define a soul:
Primary: The first seven Cores; made of pure magic and Determination, Bravery, Patience, Perseverance, Integrity, Justice, and Kindness. They were the most powerful type, but due to the actions stated in the Legend, have since been transformed into something else. This is not public knowledge.
Prismatic: Damaged souls that are able to transmute light into something tangible. They are like prisms (hence the name), and at certain angles, can reflect different values. They are also mirrored across the Barrier, meaning that- for example, in the Dark World, the Prismatic Core of Justice can be seen as the core of Revenge, and vice versa. A lot of how these souls present themselves is based off perspective. | This is what the Primaries have become.
Core: A more basic form a soul can take, having branched off of the Primaries. For example, some first-generation Cores that branched off of Patience would be: Trust, Empathy, Curiosity, and Faith. Second-generation take on a darker tone, as they have gotten further away from the Primary Cores. Some second-generation Cores would be: Misery, Apathy, Indolence, and Greed.
In ancient times, there was no such thing as being "good" or "bad". The idea of Good and Evil developed over the course of Monster history, and led to there being bias around 1st-gen, 2nd-gen, and Coreless souls. The Core a Monster develops is totally dependent on the individual themself, and is not exclusive to what type of magic their soul produces. This means that not all Lightners are good, and not all Darkners are bad, if you regard Light as being "Good" and Dark as "Bad."
- If you imagine a Primary/Prismatic Core to be as a source of light at 100% brightness, A 1st-gen core would be 25% less bright, A 2nd-gen Core would be 50% less bright, and a Coreless soul would be 75% less Dark.
- In Spamton's case, he does not have a soul, which would put him at 0% brightness.
Coreless: This describes a soul that has not yet found its Core (which can be interpreted as purpose, or thought to act similarly to Cutie Marks in MLP). All souls start out Coreless, but not all souls become Cores. While it is less common that a soul remains Coreless through ought the duration of its lifecycle, it is still possible, if making the Monster somewhat weaker and potentially shortening its lifecycle. Coreless individuals are often seen as having less of a personality, and are often looked down upon, or seen as lesser.
A Monster can live without a Core, but a Monster should not be able to even EXIST without a soul. That makes Spamton's existence and ability to live paradoxical and controversial, and challenges what it means to be alive and how we define it.

This is the example chart that inspired the idea for the souls. It was made by JeminisPalace on Deviantart. I'll probably make my own chart that includes my own Soul Types and probably a better timeline, but for now, this is the reference!
So my mom has an acquaintance friend who thinks I (as my deadname) died as a baby because she doesn't know I'm trans. This is very funny to me.
My mom didn't like, set out to lie. It's just that the friend was over while my mom was packing to move earlier this year, and spotted something from my childhood with my deadname on it. And this friend already knew that my mom only has one child. The friend went "oh, was this from a baby who passed?" My mom was unprepared and didn't know what else to say on the spot, but didn't want to out me, so she just went "yes." And NOW it's too late to correct this without it being weird for everyone. So uh. Now I am my own sibling, who died.
I'm pretty sure this is how people used to do it in the old days, before it was easy to keep track of people. You pretend the old child died and this is a whole new person.

y'all I appreciate the encouragement but genuinely I have done the introspection over the years and I'm definitely cis. on the other hand this is the same friend who recently told me the way I was being treated at work sounded like I was being discriminated against on the basis of my autism and I was like "wait, my what" and I do have to do some thinking about that

Republicans and their influencers keep calling the SAVE Act a "voter ID law". They use polls exclusively on "voter ID" to claim it's popular. Voter ID is a popular common sense voting policy that requires a state ID to vote. It's already a thing. No one has a problem with that.
The SAVE Act, however, is NOT a "voter ID" requirement. They know if they spelled it out no one would support it.
During Kamala's campaign when she was seemingly doing well with women due to the reproductive rights platform issue, men on the right were going all in on "we need to repeal the 19th amendment"
And here's one of the earliest bills proposed. As usual, they're throwing immigrants under the bus to get it done. They're claiming millions of undocumented immigrants vote in national elections when it's illegal and a lie (when challenged on the matter, a pundit once claimed 77 undocumented immigrants voted in the last ten years. This is the best they can do). They're using that lie to justify disenfranchising 70 million women and anyone who can't afford a passport, pretty much.
It costs money to replace an ID, get a copy of your birth certificate and obviously to buy a passport.
Or as I've always liked to put it, "No matter how suspicious you might find the neighbor who never opens their blinds, they will never be as suspicious as the neighbor who wants free rein to peek in through people’s windows."
I was unaware of Markiplier telling his fans that they better behave in the theaters which is hilarious to me because I've been joking with my staff that if the people for Iron Lung acted up in our theater I was going to email Markiplier like a disappointed teacher
fyi. being intensely self critical is not the same as being self aware. if you’re really self aware you’ll be aware of the good stuff too. just in case anyone needs to hear it. don’t mistake constantly dissecting what you see as your flaws for some kind of personal enlightenment.
