It's the first day of #Inktober2019! Let's talk about that. ✨
I've been participating in and successfully completing the "Inktober" challenge for the past 5 years. I think I've proven to myself that I'm capable of doing art challenges, so this time I don't have a huge desire to continue proving it. I do have a 31-day list ready and waiting, but I'm not too HYPED to shirk all other self care and force myself into pooping out an ink drawing every single day. No one gives a flip whether I do these or not, so why stress? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯⠀
⠀
So here's the deal for this time: I have my list. I will do what I can when I can, but I won't stress about it. I will use ink, but I might use media other than ink to finish them. If I lose interest, I won't feel obligated to finish by Halloween.⠀
⠀
October is such a fun month & I never allow myself to fully enjoy it because I always force myself to put together full blown ink drawings every day... for what? I'm over it, y'all. I'm 30. I'll do art when I damn well please. Also, I really want to make a Halloween costume FOR ONCE.⠀
⠀
With all that said, my theme this year is: dinosaurs! featuring modern bird feathers/colorations! I skipped Jurassic June this year and last, so this will be a gift to those of you who follow me for paleoart. I put together a list of known feathered theropods and a second list of modern birds and my amazing husband built a program to mash the two lists together to make my prompt list. I don't even know what they all are, so every one of these will be a surprise.⠀
⠀
So no pressure. Literally. Let's have fun this month!! 🎃🍂🔥
