“Oh not at all – well, there is the show later, but it is later.” Lymantria had never been incredibly passionate about her work in the Court (it was a means to an end on most days, though on occasions when she got to be creative that changed some), so when presented with something more appealing, she was definitely going to take it.
Though she could not lose her job; she had more money than she’d had in her life, but still jobs were hard things to come by. But still, she’d been looking for something else – anything else that might grant her more meaning.
She did still want to keep her job.
“As long as I am back for the curtain call at nine,” she said, as she settled into the car, looking eagerly around. “Besides – this seems much more exciting to me.”
Gadget could do nine o’clock. That gave them more than a few hours to test out the car and maybe stop to get something to eat. Something that wasn’t bar food or any of the frequently visited restaurants in Swynlake. And then afterwards, she could stick around and watch a performance or two. She’d didn’t typically hang out at the Court simply because she preferred the loud pulsating boom of Pixie’s and the atmosphere.
But she’d been wanting to see one of Lymantria’s shows.
“Back by nine,” she gave a sharp nod of her head though the grin she wore was quite bright. She wasted no time pulling out of the parking space and taking off down the road. It wasn’t until she reached a fork that she stopped for longer than a brief pause. One way led towards NTO and the other... Well Gadget didn’t precisely know where it led to.
“Alright co-pilot. Important question. Left or right?”
