He was saying all these things about our relationship and trying to make all these decisions for you. Look, I know you want them to be your friends and all and for everything to go back to the way it was, but this just doesn’t seem healthy. They seem to think their opinions are what’s best for you and are so resistant towards anything else. Please, please just… I don’t know. I know I can’t stop you from being friends and all but it seems toxic, is all.”

Sirius listens to Barty, his expression unreadable at first, but then he smiles softly. He wraps his hands around Barty's waist, and pulls him in for a quick kiss. "You're too good for me, Bats.. Looking out for me like this is adorable." He sighs softly "James just doesn't trust you, and, I mean, I get why he sees that; he just doesn't know you like I do.. I'm annoyed he went to you about his concerns, before me. I'll talk to him, okay? I promise, nothing he does will change us, alright?" Moves the hair of Barty's forehead, and kisses it. "I love you.."

“I love you too,” Barty replies absentmindedly, still anxious. “I just want you to know that I want what me best for you no matter what, okay? And I know you and Potter are best friends, but I feel like he’s overly concerned with every decision you make and it’s not fair to you… especially considering the fact that he knows you have issues with being gaslit. He’s being overprotective kinda like your parents were and it’s just…” he huffs a sigh. “It’s not right. He’s guilting you into thinking you’re the problem and you aren’t,” Barty takes Sirius’s hand and squeezes it. “I just… maybe this is selfish of me, but I’m just scared that you’re going to leave me. I want to know that I come first. I can’t live without you. You’re everything to me…”

Regulus takes a sip of his punch cup and immediately spits it out. Is that potion mixed in? "What's in this?" he yells at a Hufflepuff over the music, who shrugs, cackles, and runs into the crowd.

He groans. Yep. Should've stayed in his dorm.

When Sirius shows up

Sirius is sitting with Barty, playing with Barty's hair as Barty lays against him. "Your hair is so pretty.." leaves a kiss on the top of his head.

“well… I’d expect it to be so… I mean, you dyed it.” He says, staring at Sirius’s lovely, lovely eyes.

Sirius hums softly. "God-like you are; wanna worship every part of you.. every perfect piece that I get to call mine.."

Barty laughs under his breath. “Poetic today, are we?” He presses a kiss to Sirius’s lips.

Smiles as he returns the kiss. Sirius then rolls the two around, so he's laying on his side, facing Barty. "What do you think about Evan.. the mark and all.. I know he says he didn't want it.. but I'm really doubting that. Do you know anything more..?"

Barty’s smile fades. He looks away. “I—you…” he sighs, head hung, worried about how Sirius might react. “He’s my best friend. I’m not letting him do this alone. I’m going to get it—you can’t stop me.” He adds quickly.

"I don't want to hurt you.."

“Them? I thought you weren’t talking to them anymore,” Barty says, his brows furrowed. “And who says they’re the ‘good guys?’ Think about it: if wizards and muggles… mingled… what if eventually everyone was a Squib? And besides, you love me, right? You don’t have to fight me…”

"Of course I love you, Bats; you're my world.." Sirius mutters, gently kissing Barty's forehead. "But my family.. I can't survive where you want to go.. I-I.." He takes a moment to clear his thoughts and voice, then continues. "If I go with that side, I'm putting myself back with my family.. I hate them; I can't live or work with them.. And they hate me right back.. They drive me mad, and they'll keep hurting me.."

Sirius smiles slightly and leans into the hand, but it fades. "James is talking to me again.. he's worried about who I'm becoming.. And that you're making me worse.."

Regulus slumps against the wall, surveying the scene. Sirius is here--his moronic friends in tow as well, because of course. He almost wonders if he would have even come had he known the attendees. But alas.

Regulus takes a sip of his punch cup and immediately spits it out. Is that potion mixed in? "What's in this?" he yells at a Hufflepuff over the music, who shrugs, cackles, and runs into the crowd.

He groans. Yep. Should've stayed in his dorm.

When Sirius shows up

Sirius is sitting with Barty, playing with Barty's hair as Barty lays against him. "Your hair is so pretty.." leaves a kiss on the top of his head.

Barty laughs under his breath. “Poetic today, are we?” He presses a kiss to Sirius’s lips.

Smiles as he returns the kiss. Sirius then rolls the two around, so he's laying on his side, facing Barty. "What do you think about Evan.. the mark and all.. I know he says he didn't want it.. but I'm really doubting that. Do you know anything more..?"

Barty’s smile fades. He looks away. “I—you…” he sighs, head hung, worried about how Sirius might react. “He’s my best friend. I’m not letting him do this alone. I’m going to get it—you can’t stop me.” He adds quickly.
