My mother is a die-hard conservative Republican. When I told her I had registered to vote, she rolled her eyes at me. When I asked why, she told me that “the worst thing for America is young, stupid liberals voting.” Liberals in the U.S. outnumber conservatives. The only reason Republicans win is because more of them vote. If you want us to win this upcoming election, get to the polls and vote, especially if you’re voting for Bernie Sanders in the primaries. Hillary has a lot more money and name recognition than Bernie does, so the primaries will be very important. Even if Bernie doesn’t win the primaries, Hillary being president will be a lot better than Donald Trump or Jeb Bush running this country further into the ground. Abstaining from voting in the general election because you don’t like Hillary will give the Republicans a victory on a silver platter and that is the worst thing that could happen right now.

To all of my Northern California followers

For those of you who don’t know, Sacramento is the second worst human sex trafficking city in the United States.

Last week my friend’s little sister, who is in high school, was at the Galleria shopping. She was approached by a girl in her twenties (who was passing as a teenager) about clothes and shoes. She befriended her and they exchanged phone numbers. The two of them spent a couple days texting when my friend’s little sister was convinced by her new “friend” to sneak out of her house to hang out. Upon sneaking out she got into the car and found herself in a very bad situation. Her “friend” was a sex trafficking scout and her pimp was in the car with her. She was then kidnapped, drugged, beaten, and held captive for a period of time before Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department found her at a local gang house in a very rough area of Sacramento. She was very lucky to be found when she was. If they hadn’t found her when they did she would have been sold or beaten to death by morning.

I’m sharing this horrible story in the hopes to raise awareness of your surroundings and to be more cautious. Currently, malls such as the Arden Mall and Galleria are filled with scouts looking for vulnerable victims. Please be careful when you’re out there!

**Not only should people in Northern California be cautious of this, it’s happening all over. But right now it seems predominantly intense in the Sacramento area.

I remember when I first found out the truth about “Somali pirates” I got chills because of how horrific the truth was and how insanely creepily well the media had twisted the situation. Every single fucking article making it seem like these “pirates” were just after money or something holding innocent people hostage and I never gave it a second thought, why would I? There was no indication that people were trying to legitimately fight off disgusting imperialism that left nuclear waste in their waters, that over 300 people have died from radiation sickness, that Europeans have been stealing Somalia’s seafood because they overfished their own waters and the indigenous fisherman are starving and so these “pirates” emerged to deal with those stealing their country’s natural resources. The truth is enough to make anyone sick to their stomachs.
