Mr Pages for the Masters headcanon thing?

Pages talks like that because its trying to sound smart and also thinks human languages (especially english) don’t feel as elegant as the correspondence 

When it gets flustered or excited it will mix up languages completely. tends to become a babbling mess.

Is not exactly shy but easy to catch off guard. has an image to maintain.

Excitable and will talk forever about stuff it likes. 

Likes coffee and tea. a lot. dreams to open a cute coffee shop library. 

Keeps every book it gets, even those that are too scandalous to be published

Thinks most of the general population (human or other species alike) are pure and shouldn’t be corrupted

Kind of protective in that way. wants to protect them from secrets that could harm them. 

a bit of an excuse to horde knowledge to itself

Respects the Judgements

Doesn’t miss the sky in the same way as the others, but misses the politics of space and excitement of it

Pages is the Cowled Loquacitor in Sunless Skies and the one who when escaped made too much noise and was given a job. 

Gets too tired and accidentally drinks ink instead of its coffee/tea. often.

@the-precisionist-procurator okay so i cant find the screenshot i have of this and it has been several months since i’ve played the game so there’s a good chance i’m misremembering something, BUT im thinking of an interaction that i thought was at the ministry wherein you make a trade with an individual that is described similarly to mr pages.

do you mean the cloaked loquacitor? i feel like it talks too normally but *shrugs*

like let me be clear here literally everything else about the cowled loquacitor implies it’s mr pages the only reservation i have it that i cannot imagine it saying "I believe some of the fine citizenry here have made prior contracts with me. It might be time to call some of those in.”

that’s fair and it doesn’t say any other dialogue DIRECTLY but its description is "It is willing to assist with any notarisiacal concerns", which... sure seems Pages-esque. and also the prompt for paying its monthly fee reads “It would be grateful for a prompt settlement of its expenses and expected emolumations on account for the forthcoming month.”
