Sometimes, we know artists more than we know people in our lives. Especially musicians. Where do you think those lyrics come from? The words of musicians, poets & writers, share things from within their heart and soul that most people don’t have the ability to do. All of those feelings are sent to their brains, then transformed on paper, for the world to see. They choose to share their guts with us. So people can empathize and connect. That is special and generous.
So, yeah, when an artist that we have connected with dies, especially tragically like this, it fucking hurts. We feel helpless. We beat ourselves up with questions that cannot be answered. We go through the stages of mourning just like anyone else who knew them personally, and it is justified.
This sums up pretty much what I think on the matter. Crying for a dead artist is not something to be ashamed of, especially when that artist greatly influenced your life somehow.
My dark knight is gone. Thank you for the incredible outpouring of kindness and love.

My heart went totally, utterly, completely shattered by Chris Cornell’s death. For the very first time I cried for the death of a famous person...He and his music meant a lot to me.
I was 12 y.o. when I first listened to Black Hole Sun, and I’ve been listening to Soundgarden since then.
I feel this sudden death as a completely wrong event and knowing that he took his life away just gets things worse. It must be terrible seeing nothing but emptiness, and depression around you, even if there is a family, there are your children, there are your friends and your fans loving you. He died alone with his inner monsters, and this...this is so. Fucking. Wrong.
I will let him go, sooner or later, and will benefit of his great musical heritage.
Until then, I will mourn this loss.

About Scott
I would like to write down a few words about Scott Weiland. The ugly truth is that I wasn't surprised by his death, like I wasn't surprised by other deaths such as Any Winehouse's, Layne Staley's, etc. But, as for what happened for these artists, Scott's death deeply saddened me as well. It keeps on saddening me after two weeks, and I know it will sadden me forever. I don't know what really brought him and other artists to continuously search for death, and I won't dare to say a thing about this matter, but I think that they just wanted to disappear, they felt lonely and couldn't help it. Music couldn't heal them anymore, Scott said going on tour wasn't fun for him. It's so sad. I'm so sad, and from the bottom of my heart I hope he - and other tormented talents who went away too soon - finds in death the peace he never found in life. R.I.P. Scott Weiland, sit tibi terra levis.

In light of all the recent tragedies the world has been facing, please take your time to also pray for Brazil, which is currently going through one of the biggest environmental disasters in its history.
For those of you who dont know, on November 5, two huge water dams between Mariana and Ouro Preto, in the state of Minas Gerais, broke. The dams were located in a very industrial region, thus the dam water is filled with manganese and iron dejects, and these are lethal to both animals and nature. With the breaking of the dams, a huge surge of mud has washed over these cities, as well as many others,destroying everything in its way. More than 2000 people have been affected, although the number is continuously growing. The nature that once used to grow there is completely covered, and many plants and animals will probably beocme extinct.
As of right now, the mud has already affected two states (MG and ES). However, that is not the biggest problem. The mud is close to reaching the Rio Doce. This river is the main water supplier of the region, if not the only. Once the mud reaches the river, it will disappear and there will no longer be water for those who depend on it. As many brazilians are saying, “A morte do Rio Doce”, or Rio Doce´s death. The consequences will most likely be deadly.
This is, of course, a very brief summary of what is happening. But please, #PrayforBrazil.
